  1. Without the detail, I thought my post indicated that.
  2. Ooops. Sorry. I haven't really combed through this forum with a fine tooth one yet. Thanks for the link. Some excellent selections on there.
  3. RHP's cover of "Silly Love Songs" on Songs For a Blue Guitar is excellent. Sounds like a Zuma outtake. And I was recently introduced to Ghosts of the Great Highway as well. It's a great album. I can't get enough of "Carry Me Ohio." Kozelek's voice sounds a bit like a strange cross between Neil Young and Christopher Cross.
  4. Absolutely. The Dylan run starting with Freewheelin' to Nashville Skyline is pretty special as well. I'm a HUGE Neil fan, and his string of EKTIN, ATGR, H, TFA, OTB, TTN, and to a lesser extent Zuma is amazing. Some people have brought up some great runs as well, but I stand by my Stones statement. BB, LIB, SF, and EOMS represent some of the greatest rock music ever recorded. The also came out with a pretty good live album during that period, Get Yer Ya Ya's Out.
  5. Well, as much as I love the new Okkervil River album, Pitchfork can place their farm tool in a not so pleasant place. Suffice to say, I don't base my opinions or decisions on what to purchase on those suckpumps. I'm with you on "You and Your Crystal Meth" (a leftover from the ABAAC session). But the new album is far stronger than A Blessing and a Curse. I'm not too crazy about Shonna's songs, but my favorites include A Ghost to Most, The Man I Shot, 3 Dimes Down (the best Stones song the Stones never wrote), Self-Destructive Zones, Two Daughters and a Beautiful Wife, The Righteous Path, Monument Valley, The Opening Act, Goode's Field Road, and The Home Front. Cooley and Patterson brought their A game and the band h
  7. You'd be hard pressed to find a better string of studio albums than Beggar's Banquet (1968), Let It Bleed (1969), Sticky Fingers (1971), and Exile on Main St. (1972).
  8. It might be a better song if they repeated the chorus a little more.
