  1. Love them too. Love You Just the Same is my favorite Will Johnson release, followed closely by Vultures Await.
  2. Should I be worried that I'm not in the least bit excited about this?
  3. It pretty good. There's some previously released material mixed with some Farrar originals. The music is not exclusively Jay's. Ryan Adams, Vic Chestnutt, Freakwater, Neko Case, Blood Oranges, and other contribute to it.
  4. Forgot to add the EP. Put it ahead of The Slaughter Rule Soundtrack.
  5. Behind WST. TB S SSBL SRS And, shockingly, I like them all.
  6. Funny you should say that, because The Search really clicked with me wheh I saw them in the Spring of 2007 with Jason Isbell opening.
  7. There isn't a bad album in the Volt catalog. How I see it (calm down Rider): Trace Straightaways The Search Okemah and the Melody of Riot Wide Swing Tremolo Want to spend a little more time with American Central Dust before I place it. However, at this stage it's definitely in the top 3.
  8. I do too, but this is definitely different.... and better.
  9. 2nd listen. Very diverse. I like his voice. Some good guitar pickin'. Billy Bragg vibe to it. I think this will stay in the rotation for the next few months. The timing of it coming to my attention (American Central Dust & Murdering Oscar leaking) isn't ideal, but I do like it. Thanks for the recommendation GP.
  10. Hopefully we can leave this fictitious battle to the "critics" and "media." Both are welcome at my table anytime.
