  1. Mi Sei Apparso Come Un Fantasma Songs: Ohia
  2. My 10 favorite Neil albums (in no particular order) would be: Tonight's the Night On the Beach Time Fades Away After the Gold Rush Rust Never Sleeps Ragged Glory Harvest Moon Greendale Zuma Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere Toughest omissions: American Stars n Bars Freedom Mirror Ball Getting back to the purpose of the thread, Dylan and Neil are always relevant. Warts and all.
  3. Greendale would be in my top 10 Neil records of all time.
  4. Ouch. I'm going to see him this weekend. I've been on a huge KK kick as of late. Spooky Lady's Sideshow, Kristofferson, The Silver Tongued Devil and I, and Jesus Was a Capricorn are pretty amazing albums in my humble opinion.
  5. Wiki history (I actually didn't read it) and critics aside, Time Fades Away is easily one of my favorite Neil Young records.
  6. Worse that Landing on Water? Bad album or not, I've seen upwards of 20 Neil shows and have yet to see a bad one. The dude brings it live.
  7. A bad album in the twilight of an illustrious career will serve as damning evidence that Neil Young sucks? Your friend must be undefeated when he argues with you.
  8. Please do not draw a connection between FITR and TFA. Someone already made a weak connection between FITR and TTN. I find FITR to be anything but down and dirty. The Ditch Trilogy is down and dirty. Half of Zuma is down and dirty. The 2nd half of Rust Never Sleeps is down and dirty. Parts of Greendale are down and dirty. Fork in the Road is just brutal.
  9. Both are much better than Fork in the Road. CD II, while very uneven, has some great songs on it. While LWW will not stand the test of time very well, I enjoyed it when it came out. It has a couple of songs I still enjoy. Fork in the Road is just plain bad.
  10. Paralysis by analysis. The Search is a completely different chapter and should be approached as such. It's a great fucking album. Good to know. Masterson is a fucking beast!
  11. There's some stuff that comes off as a bit strange at first with some of his records, but after a few listens what was once so strange, doesn't seem so strange anymore. If that makes any sense at all.
