tony's is actually on front and oregon (front st = 1st st, for the out of towners). while i won't take get into a argument over the 'best' philly cheesesteak, i think tony's pork sandwitches are better than their steaks. if pork is your thing, get one with sharp prov and spinach. though i haven't been to mexico, i'll second the recomendation of la lupe. if anyone is feeling the trip into the heart of south philly for the orignal steak experience, go to pat's over gino's at 9th and passayunk. pay attention to the ordering instructions (drinks at the second window) and get a steak w/ wiz.

public transportation from center city is pretty simple. the north/south subaway line (there are only 2 in philly with the other going east/west) will drop you off right at the spectrum if you get off at the pattison street station. just watch out for anyone with a hammer if you take it (i wish i was kidding). i've already got my tickets, but some friends who missed out on the presale have been trying to get them. i thought they were supposed to go on sale today, but ticketmaster and livenation show nothing. does anyone know if my buddies are s.o.o.l. or is the sale starting later tod

both of you are correct. i got close enough to see some of their pedals at a recent show. here are some of the changes i've noticed: - he's using a vintage colorsound overdriver instead of the perscription. - he has a schroeder blister agent which i'm guessing he uses instead of the p&c - freak show brown rabbit there are 2 that i didn't recognize - large white/off white pedal. 6 or more nobs. 2 footswitches???? - small bluish pedal with one switch and one chickenhead nob???? nels has also altered his pedal setup. he had a lovepedal eternity overdrive replacing the marshal guv

there was an nels interview in no depression a couple of months back were they talked about his 59 sunburst jag. he mentioned that it was on its last leg so i wouldn't be surprised if he got the all - black one to tour with. then again, it could be the old 59 repainted.

i was waiting online at 10, but i couldn't get anything for the philly show on ticketmaster. drove out to the box office to see if there was anything available. the girl at the window tells me they sold out in 4 minutes.
