  1. what time did the guys take the stage last night? thanks!

At 8:45pm sharp. Show ended at 10:50pm or so.

I'm speechless....that show may have been the best I've seen out of a dozen or so since 95. :worship

The intensity just didn't let up.

Ya didn't even need to be up close for this one......you could feel "it" a mile away.

I'm glad I have a couple days off before the Pines. Don't know if I coud do it again tonight.

I'm seriously thinking that we got the show they hope to get tonight in Red Bank.

But I wish them the best too. Lots of my homeboys and girls will be there.

ps: thank you Gail for the great seats, we loved them.

  2. Most people probably saw the e-mail yesterday (and I really hope I didn't miss a thread on this; I searched, I promise! :P ), but the wilcoworld news page has this little blurb right at the top:

Can't go wrong with the food banks, and the 826 programs are a particular favorite of mine, so this looks like a cool deal.

Sounds good. Just packed my cans of food for tonights show.

I had seen this somewhere before but didn't know the specifics.

Will the poster unique for tonights show?

  3. This is from a thread I started earlier today...didn't see this one....

"If any of you kind folks could offer advice/recommendations about the Pines Theater scene (particularly what to do pre and even post show) it would me much appreciated.

Do they allow tail-gating in the parking lot?

Are there any cool places nearby to eat/drink?

We're staying at the Quality Inn Hadley so we'll be driving in from there that afternoon.

    Thanks "

  5. FYI - Columbia, MD is the world's most sterile town in America. You'll see. It was designed that way. I call it the "Biggest Industrial Park in the World"

As far as cool places to go, I would say that the mall is your best bet unless you want to drive from the bar to Merriweather. If you don't mind driving, I would have to say the best bar in Columbia is Nottingham's. It's not too far.

According to the people who live here, I just work here, you can:

Go to the Champs bar in the mall. Very close and is walking distance.

    Clydes, short drive

    Sonoma (seafood) 2 minute ride.

p.s. Columbia is in Howard county. No smoking in bars anymore.

    Cool. thanks for the feedback.

I was only there once in 1985 (at a Dead show) and really don't remember much. :stunned

I knew about Champs option but wanted to try and avoid that. Maybe I'll look into Nottingham's.

  6. Hey Merriweather locals......

We're headed down early tomorrow from the Philly area (should arrive by 4pm or so) and looking to find a nearby place to eat, drink and be merry pre-show. I'm told that tailgating is forbidden in the official parking lot (is that really true) and also that there's a mall across the street with places to eat.

But would rather find something less sterile if possible.

Thanks in advance for your help.
