Good credentials.  Unfortunately, authors and books, and tweets by authors of books, don't move the needle.  How many books by (and tweets by) heavy hitting authors came out during W's first term, and what did it get us?

Thanks bbop for another great write up.  It was nice seeing you, Wendy, Jeff, and other familiar faces on home turf!  The setlist nicely recapped Jeff's career from Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Golden Smog, Loose Fur, Tweedy, and the most recent solo Warm and Warmer releases.  This really reminds you of what a special artist Jeff is.  He's quite the comedian nowadays too.

So what if Mueller comes out and says, "we did a full investigation and we have caught who we caught but there is no evidence of wrong doing by the President and his inner circle."

 

I do think this is a likely scenario.  I can't imagine what the left will say after hanging all hope that Mueller will bring POTUS down.  And the right who sees Mueller as illegitimate and a secret deep state democrat.

Here's The Waiting

Musically speaking, the cover of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' The Waiting to start the first encore was the most dramatic change to the setlist and a highlight of the show.

Pardon me if I am cynical.  His candidacy and now presidency has been declared dead numerous times, but yet here he is, saying stupid shit and proposing stupid legislation that panders to his white nationalist base (and lets be honest here, the President and his surrogates are not trying to hide their racism anymore).   

 

So until I see his stupid orange mug bumbling through a congressional hearing and articles of impeachment are voted on and passed.  I have very little hope that this man will be removed from office.  Hell, until January 20, 2020 (or god forbid 2024) and I see a new president sworn in, I expect this gas bag of human feces to sit there in the oval office an ruin our country.
