  1. I'm happy that I was wrong.

I'm also happy that the GOP wasted the last decade+ on this failed effort, rather than pursuing other items on their agenda.

but they also made the American public this this shit for the last decade and that is not healthy

  2. I take back the nasty things I said about John McCain the other day. He did the right thing after all.

Does one postive vote really negate all his shit the last few years?  I've read a few things saying this cements his legacy, BS, seems like most are shortmined anymore.

  3. Another bit of interaction Jeff had with a fan toward the front came late in the main set when he saw them holding up a nice sign requesting what I can only assume was Remember The Mountain Bed. "I appreciate the sign, but that ship has sailed. We don't have time for a nine-verse folk song. ... I don't want your arms to get tired, but it's not going to happen. You should listen to it on the way home. I think there's like a thousand versions (out there)."

I believe I now recall that Jeff also said regarding the RTMB sign "they have a set list, they made a program for us"  :D

  4. What a great night.  bböp hit all the details.  It’s been 9 months since we had last seen Wilco at Pritzker and many songs had fresh moments, including the aforementioned I’m Always in Love.  The one thing I can add, and this has likely been happening for a while, during Impossible Germany, this is one the first times that Pat did not jaunt go over to Jeff during Nels solo likely due to the very intimate stage space.  The lights are top notch and add nice moments and the sound was great as always!  I wish we could make it to Eau Claire and Solid Sound.  Enjoy the next 2 weeks everyone.

  5. So I received 2 envelopes from SK today, one addressed to me and one addressed to an RI Shields in Valparaiso IN 46835...guess my 46216 zip code was close???

Feel free to pm me, I figured this may be a lot easier than contacting Song Kick (p.s. I didn't open your envelope)

  6. so Mr Booker tells us his vote is because" Booker offered to explain his vote by stating his concern over a lack of consumer protections that he felt the amendment did not adequately address."  But the reality based on Moderator - Featured Comments was "if the budget amendment passed, it would be attached to a budget set to repeal OBAMACARE. Meaning that someone voting against the budget would be voting against a repeal of OBAMACARE, but also against getting cheaper prescription drugs."

Gotta love our sausage making politics

  7. Cory Booker recently broke my heart by pissing on a bill that would have brought sick people cheaper Canadian meds. Big pharma had lobby fingers all over the house.

Here's his number.   202-224-3224  My boss and I both called him Friday.

  8. Here's a detailed rundown of our week in American politics:

    1/7/17

    The federal week in review:

    1. Trump fires all Ambassadors and Special Envoys, ordering them out by inauguration day.

    2. House brings back the Holman rule allowing them to reduce an individual civil service, SES positions, or political appointee's salary to $1, effectively firing them by amendment to any piece of legislation. We now know why they wanted names and positions of people in Energy and State.

    3. Senate schedules 6 simultaneous hearings on cabinet nominees and triple-books those hearings with Trump's first press conference in months and an ACA budget vote, effectively preventing any concentrated coverage or protest.

    4. House GOP expressly forbids the Congressional Budget Office from reporting or tracking ANY costs related to the repeal of the ACA.

    5. Trump continues to throw the intelligence community under the bus to protect Putin, despite the growing mountain of evidence that the Russians deliberately interfered in our election.

    6. Trump breaks a central campaign promise to make Mexico pay for the wall by asking Congress (in other words, us, the taxpayers) to pay for it.

    7. Trump threatens Toyota over a new plant that was never coming to the US nor will take jobs out of the US.

    8. House passes the REINS act, giving them veto power over any rules enacted by any federal agency or department--for example, FDA or EPA bans a drug or pesticide, Congress can overrule based on lobbyists not science. Don't like that endangered species designation, Congress kills it.

And those are just the big ones.

    :barf

  9. Expect a tweet soon that will deflect attention from this.

    and done

The twit in chief is slamming Arnold for poor premier ratings.   :rotfl   Personally, I've boycotted everything that currently or previously supported Drumpf...not that I have watched that shit show in 16 years anyway.

  10. Today we heat up and eat for dinner the frozen pasties that we brought back from the UP in June. No gravy but still damn tasty.

mmm, good.  My wife's a Yooper.  We love pasties.  There good with catchup too!

  11. Seeing him tomorrow night. No idea what to expect. Does anyone know what this tour is? I assume he's got a band? I searched but couldn't find any info.

Twin Limb, which includes Kevin Ratterman, plus Dave Givan on drums and Seth Kaufman (Floating Action) on bass.  Enjoy the show and please report back!
