I should know better than to read threads of this nature. We all want our favorite musicians to be akin to Caesar's wife in an economic sense. I don't begrudge anybody making a buck so they can make a house payment, eat, send their kids to school, drive a relatively new car or buy beer occassionally.
We are all so judgemental with how artists' survive financially.
Obviously not "like selling a cd"
If wilco were to make a song called, "I love Discovery Channel" & the only purpose of the song was to be in a Disc Channel commercial, and the band had didnt care about treating it as a piece of their art, then I'd have a problem.

My definition of "selling out" is when someone's art is made WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE of pushing a product. If Wilco signed a deal with VW to make songs for VW commercials, then I'd have a problem.

I went to Best Buy and played a '52 Reissue Tele last night.
I'm headed to a guitar store today!I also played the Valvetronix 15W model and had two problems: I couldn't operate the $%3@ing thing with all it's newfangled buttons (fixable), and I didn't like that the headphone jack was 1/8" (not fixable).
I think I'm about to get an electric!!Best Buy carries guitars?

Just kidding, few I was a bit afraid to even type that. Honest answer is something along the lines of Snoop Dogg, NWA, Tupac. I LOVE hip hop, but those guys have inspired a lot of crappy music. Also, I have a problem with the fact that kids looked up to these guys has heroes in some regard

Anybody know anything about the VOXAC4TV? It's a little 4W tube amp with an attenuator. I certainly wouldn't need anything louder than that for playing at home, and all the reviews I've read are pretty positive. For $250, it sounds just about right.
I have this amp and I love this amp. As long as you do not see yourself needing to play any shows, this is the best possible amp for low key basement/garage jams, practice, simple recording etc. I'm not in a band and I don't think I will be in one for a while, so this amp is perfect for my needs. It takes pedals very well, I love cranking the 1/4w and 1w settings as well!

I think NBC should let Conan continue as is without Leno on the air; am guessing the drop in the ratings Conan is experiencing might have something to do with loyal fans of Leno watching at 10pm and not tuning in afterwords. drop Leno altogether and I gander the ratings would go up. NBC messed this up all royally.
CNN said that Leno being at 11:30 meant the local news actually had ratings. Now, with leno on earlier, the old people (Leno's crowd) are turning off their tvs, this in turn starts this domino effect that ruins everything.
If NBC drops Conan that network will probably end up being on my lifetime shit list. I can't see me respecting anything Leno has ever touched, what a sack of shit

Yes, the floor is for every type of ticket, no reserved area at all. Get in touch with someone to get your $7.50 back though

I know there is an entire thread based on the tour, BUT I think it is important for anyone to see this since it concerns people being overcharged. I just talked to Lupos...
- They said that the first ten rows of their balcony (A - J) should be $42.50. These first ten rows are the only mezzanine seats at Lupos http://www.lupos.com/Mezzanine.html
- All other seats (GA & Balcony) should be $35! I was curious because my balcony seats (row S) are 42.50. If you have been charged 42.50 for any balcony seats that row K or higher, you need to contact Lupos or Frontgate and get your $7.50 back.
- The good news is that ANY ticket at Lupos is also a GA pit ticket, so I would recommend showing up early and just heading to the pit.
Hope I'm the only one that was overcharged, but with all of frontgates problems I'm sure there are others

We both looked at the seating chart. It said he got Right Center, Row A, Seats 5 thru 8. So to us it looks like we're ALL set. I don't know what he paid as we're not together at the moment. I think you're good. It sounds like you're in the same section as us!
oh cool, the fact my email said "balcony" kind of concerns me. I'm fine with any seat to a Wilco show, but I just don't want to have over paid, thx

Do you know Lupos well? I'm a bit concerned because clearly Lupos site says reserved mezzanine are $42.50, & that is what I paid, but my email says "Balcony Presale Right Center Row S" Thoughts? I hope it just says balcony & isnt lol

Were your tickets 42.50? Mine said row s balcony, but Lupo's website says that the first ten rows of the balcony are their only reserved Mez seats, I'm a bit confused, I hope I didnt spend more $ on balcony seats...

In terms of amps, I'd recommend something with switchable wattage. http://www.orangeamps.com/products.asp?Action=View&ID=103 Here is an example, I just got a vox that goes from something like 1/4w to 5w, its great!

I'm a huge 1990s dmb fan. From 2000 up until recently they have been putting out a lot of crap, BUT there are still a few great songs hidden amongst the garbage. Their last album was a solid effort. For me, that original dmb lineup was killer stuff.
