I think Wilco, as currently constituted, will not formally break up. I could easily see them taking hiatuses over the years in order to pursue their various side projects, solo, etc. I see Wilco being more of a brotherhood as the years go by.

MoF have made me revisit assorted bright eyes, MMJ, and M. Ward. Up until today I have only heard 1 M Ward album (hold time) I've been spinning his others all day long, really solid stuff! I'm seeing them in Boston soon, forgot the date, any other VCers there?

Touring is what pays the bills. They'll never shut it down completely.
Anyone know a percentage of how much bands get when they perform live? Not necessarily Wilco, but a mid level band popularity wise? I've always been curious, I estimate a member makes a bout a $500 - $1000 per show? I could be incredibly off though

If the Sox were going to lose better to LA than to the MFY. Go Angels.
Let the Papelbon trade rumors begin!

Gotta love Ocho Cinco

So, we figured out why we were missing scenes... so, yeah. We had been spoiled by the Sopranos DVDs because those were edited that you could skip the title credits, and it would automatically forward to the first scene immediately following the credits. We were doing the same with the Wire, but just realized last night that if you skipped the credits, you also skipped about 5 minutes of the show. So basically, we've missed about 45 minutes of the show. Fucking dumbass. So STUPID STUPID STUPID!
We never noticed that a 55 minute show was ending 50 minutes after we started it!
Best opening scene is here,
First scene of the show actually!

Is there a collection of Wilco wallpaper out there?

My initial thought was to wear traditional garb and go as one of potentially many famous Chinese people, but I think it may be altogether funnier if I went around with some Kanye shades, a jacket, and a mic, interrupting peoples conversations as in "Yo, girl, I know you be talkin', and Imma let you finish, but Winston Churchill had one of the best speeches of ALL TIME!" and then run away.
That Kanye idea is excellent!
A couple should go as John & Kate plus 8 & fight during the entire party

SNL is very hit or miss for me. Usually I never watch it, I just check hulu once or twice a month and watch what looks for example, that "mother lover" sketch was genius!

I predict the Twins will win this world series, and then never win again until they figure out how to get a retractable roof on their new ballpark. What MLB needs is a 21st century curse.

I wondered why no one had put this up, besides Wilco having an amazing spread in this I would suggest this journal to anyone who loves music magzines and hates adds and all the bullshit stories about artists that you could give a fuck less to know about. It's quaterly and well worth the price, great writers, photos, and actual.....Hey,wow I didn't know that or That was something I would of never imagined learning about someone or something. They sit on my coffe table as a center piece....they really look that profesional.
I couldn't agree more, these magazines are great. I picked up the summer issue with Warren Haynes and have been hooked! I just picked up my Wilco copy, they seem to be in all the book stores here in RI, not sure about the rest of the world though

Can anyone recommend a free piano lesson website or youtube account? I've found a few, but I was wondering if there is a website that comes highly recommended

Chicken Fingers... with Club Sauce!
"stop it you are making me dizzy" haha

Two things I found that are pretty cool, both free! Whats the deal with the amazon download program though? It seems like every time I download an album it makes me re-install the program

You should move this to the Wilco section, I figure it would warrant front page news!

GOB, John Locke (lost), and Omar (The Wire) are 3 of my favorite television characters of all time. Some of my fav moments are....
- Tobias singing "Amazing Grace" an audition
- "For Brittish Eyes Only!" plot
- When George Michael asks for his recepit for his Quicken gift because, he is not going to return it, he is going to deduct it lol
God bless this show

Wow! I was just flipping through the last issue, & I thought of how cool a Nels cover would be!

The Patriots have a good defense. Yeah, I know! Crazy!
If the offense can shake off the rust, this team will play it's best football after Thanksgiving.
Looking at their schedule, the Pats will close against, Miami, Carolina, Buffalo, Jacksonville, and Houston. They have the opportunity to go into the playoffs on a big roll. They are at least a 10 win team, but if they can survive their early schedule, they could win a lot more. That stretch of Indy, Jets & at New Orleans scares me a bit
-
They're nowhere near as good as they were in previous years. Especially from a fantasy perspective.
But the Jets look really, really good at the moment. Taking down a (traditionally, but probably not as good anymore) stingy defense in the Titans.
Also, are the Browns this year's Lions?
-I don't think that there is much of a correlation between the Pats fantasy defense and their real defense. Their defense so far has made stops when necessary, which does not translate to fantasy points. BUT I do agree that previous years defenses were better on paper. The Pats D is 6th in passing yards and 3rd in total yards. At this rate, when mayo comes back this could be a top 10 defense.
-The Jets could be this year Ravens for sure, I would not count out the Bills just yet.
-The Browns are a disgrace, but the Tampa Bay Yucks are this years Lions
-
The Patriots are very quietly playing some good defense this year!

I have a real good pal who is a HUGE music buff like myself. We agree on 99.9% of all bands, however he cannot get into Wilco. The thing that pains me is he loves bands such as Ryan Adams, Radiohead, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Dead. I would imagine if you were into that combo of bands you would HAVE to at least appreciate some Wilco
