  1. Some months ago there was a link on Via Chicago to video from an outdoor show from early Wilco, with Jay Bennett, at a ski hill in Canada (and it wasn't Whister, that's for sure, but some small place in Newfoundland or Quebec, I believe). It was great, but I can't find it on the many pages of Jay's memorial comments, although I know it's there somewhere. If anyone can lead me back to it, I'd appreciate it. Not exactly bootleg audio. but great video that I'd recommended highly to all, if only I could find it again. Any leads are appreciated.

I know of this from owlandbear,

Its Jeff & Jay in Toronto? Maybe wilcobase has a list of all Canadian shows?

  2. If you check out these BT sites, you will find all sorts of live shows by various bands (including The Grateful Dead and Bruce Springsteen):

You can also listen to hundreds of Dead shows at Archive.org.

Thanks Analogman, I know of some of those, I'll have to check out the others! I'm more curious if there is a "owl and bear" style site for Bruce an The Dead, archive is probably best for the dead, just curious if there are others.

  3. I'd recommend downloading...

    - the residency

    - the YHF demos (the engineers demos are my fav)

These are my favs, all are of the highest quality. I am very partial to the tweedy solo shows, now where would one find these GD and Bruce shows? I'm a casual fan of both, and I have always appreciated the "best of the best" when it comes to concerts. Are they soundboard?

  4. Aesthetically? you for real? each to their own for sure... but cmon...

    :)

    I should clarity, electrics lol

Now, I despise the look of most double cut-a-ways, especially semi hollow body double cut-a-ways.

    Hummingbirds are pretty beautiful though

  5. oh really? how about this?

"to each his own" and all, but I doubt there will every be a day when I am more than a casual Dinosaur Jr listener....

Either way I'm just not a Gibson guy, for the most part I dislike everything about their guitars (ascetically that is). My glaring exception being SGs

  6. It wasn't pro ball, but an Auburn game (Auburn-USC?) game ended at 3-2.

I read ESPN's power rankings, and they say that it's possible that the Colts go 14-2. I looked, and it's entirely possible. Just absurd.

Tough teams are NE, Baltimore, Denver. And it's HIGHLY unlikely that they'll go 0-3 vs. them. They can easily sweep the rest. That is freaky business, man.

Brady seems to be "back", if he stays that way, things are shaping up for a Pats @ Colts AFC championship game

I think they can split with Miami, and grab 1 out of 2 from the Saints and Colts. Panthers, Bills, Jags, and & Texans to close out the season! I'll take a 4 game winning streak riding into the playoffs

  7. After catching up with this season, here is my take on the latest cliffhanger...

I really think that Lundy HAS to live. Deb clearly loves her current boyfriend (whatever his name), by killing her "true love" it would make for a really awkward story dynamic, Deb having to fall back in love with her 2nd choice? Seems like an odd dynamic to add.

    On the flip side...

Maybe Debs boyfriend is the shooter, or even the....dun dun duhhhh Vacation Killer!!!!!!!

  8. Nothing in it should be that bad.

Then again, I saw Predator when I was 5 years old and I had nightmares for a good 7 years after that (no lie). So it might depend on how well your child does with large, furry, monsters.

What would bother me, if I had kids, would be what a downer film it is. Kids don't like sadness... do they?

Personally, I'd take my kids to Zombieland, in case there is a Zombie apocalypse and I don't survive... you know, so they can figure out what to do.

  9. This is the story of my fantasy team thus far this week:

    Matt Schaub: 29pts

    Adrian Peterson: 16pts

    Ahmad Bradshaw: 10pts

    Thomas Jones: 25pts (4th qtr)

    Randy Moss: 30pts (4th qtr)

    Marques Colston: 22pts

    Antonio Gates: 0pts (plays MNF)

    Packers D/ST: 21pts

    Ryan Longwell: 16pts

    Total: 169pts

And this is even with me benching Steve Slaton (18pts), and Gates not even have played yet. So this is one zany week of NFL. I'm happy because I have about twice my opponent's fantasy points currently. Haha.

Christ that is an EXCELLENT team, what are you in a 4 team league? Good job man, I have Schaub and I'm still surprised he caught up with my opponents QB (he had Brees)

Congrats to all the Raiders fans! I do feel bad for Donavon though :(

  10. I heard on the radio that Sean McAdam (providence journal? sports writer) was at the Lowell show, he called them the best band in America, couldnt agree more. Thats about it lol

Oh, little edit here, this guy has made a concert appearance...

  11. Are you making these yourself? If so, major props.

    Anyways, back to the quotes...
