  1. not entirely true, there's a ton of difference between "Not For the Season" on the YHF demos, and "Laminated Cat" on Loose Fur.

speaking of the YHF demos. Are they avaible in flac somewhere? I am having SHN issues (don't ask something to do with MKW tool and me not being an adminstrator-work computer). I can decode flac but not shns-go figure. The New school trumps oldschool. The Demos1 is in flac and I just nabbed that but the Engineer's Demos are in Shn and I can't get them and that is where Not for the Season is.

edit~ NEVERMIND! MKW is working for some reason. I am off to buy a lotto ticket. I am in the zone today! :dancing

  2. The Aragon is certainly big, although a total dump with some of the worst sound ever (well maybe not worse that place in Milwaukee. It has the same issues, large high ceiling with round walls and plenty of echo. These hauls were built to house dance bands without amplification.

Awww man you guys are bumming me out. I liked the whole Mexican theme (well the pictures anyway looked cool). Reminded me of a place you might see in Austin. Oh Well I may still try and get tickets.

  3. when a local sports radio station came back from their break (the Chris and Cowboy show on 610 in KC if anyone cares) the song they played before they came back on the air was Casino Queen of all things. I found myself knowing the music which I typcially tune out and then realized what it was. Quite odd. But kinda cool

  4. {You may be too sensitive for the internet.]

Nice. Why'd you have to go and say that? That really hurts. And it's not true either. Man...

hummmm...Rainn Wilson is a noted Wilco fan couldn't help but notcie your user name.

  5. I feel somewhat obligated at this point, assuming that it hasn't already been stated, to bring attention to the fact that "Bull Black Nova" is a long and semi-convoluted reference to Pulp Fiction. First and foremost, the obvious; The car used is a 1974 Chevy Nova. Okay, so it's not bull black...

    "It's in my hair

It's on my clothes" aka. Brains and blood everywhere... When they shot Marvin.

I mean that seems to be the most stand out lyric of the song that relates to pulp fiction, but if you just read the lyrics it really starts to come together.

Sadly enough, after I read this the song "Bull Black Nova" became much less affecting and personal to me. It's like listening to Tears in Heaven and then realising that it was inspired by a kleenex advertisement.

dude wtf? Pulp Fiction withouit question is my favorite all time movie and while I would love to somehow see the connection you are high.

  6. Right on. The YHF demos are maybe my favorite Wilco stuff. Although I'm still not clear on the difference between the demos and the 'engineer' demos collections...

I've got something that I thought was the demos

    Bob Dylan's 49th Beard

    Kamera X 2

    Mag Called Sunset

    Woodgrain

    humm can't remember what else.

  7. dmb sucks a huge cock

Actually the talent in that band is quite amazing. You should check out Carter Beauford sometime. That is if you are able to get the whole dick in mouth image out of your head. He may be the best drummer on the planet right now. And yes I know a little about playing the drums so I can make that statement with confidence.

  8. Well, I didn't really mean don't take it seriously. I think I meant keep an open mind. Keep hope alive. Give peace a chance. You know, stuff like that.

Or you could just go listen to Motorhead instead. :rock

:lol Can't we all just get along?
