each party in each state decides when their primary/ caucus is, but the national party decides things like what date the process can start on, and when it has to be over. For example Florida's democratic party moved their primary up to January before the national party said they could, so Florida lost all of their delegates to the national convention. As for all the primaries on the same day; the reasons are many imo, some would say that there should be a national primary. I disagree. Individual states, big or small provide candidates with a chance to fine tune their message, and fix what is

Tonights game will easily be won by England. Not that the Swiss are bad, just that the whole England squad have something to prove to their new manager, and old fans. I think Beckham should have been given his 100th cap and the captaincy for this game and then sent on his merry way. If Capello had selected him the whole brouhaha would have been done with, but as it is now every time there is a squad announcement the focus will be on Beckham, rather than the team. ACN finals predictions? I have not seen a single game so I really cannot comment.

I was thinking of going this year, but not with this line up. A few years ago there was a really kick ass line up but I could not get the logistics worked out. Oh well no festival this summer.

I think the biggest things for all the teams; Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea, and AC, is to get everyone healthy. That said, when everyone is healthy I think it will change from a two horse race into a three. I am not sure how well Anelka and Drogba can do together. they both play better as a lone striker. It will will be interesting to see what formation Grant goes with. Senderos has not really fulfilled his potential, which is strange because Wanger is so good at spotting talent. Liverpool have just been terrible at home, and maybe they will follow Leeds down. Bolton need to find a n

I figured that Man U would drop points at some point, but I thought they could handle Spurs. Maybe that Carling Cup win over Arsenal gave them their confidence back. Eduardo is starting to produce in the absence of Van Persie. I would not count efficient Chelsea out of the race yet. They seem to good at beating everyone they are supposed to. With Champions League still 2 weeks off hopefully both Ac and Arsenal can get everyone fit for an exiting tie. I will be in England for the second leg, but they are playing in Milan. Still trying to get tickets for the Man U - Lyon game, but do not wan

Support group for those who are now bored with wilco

I am not saying that SBS is not a musically good album one of the best 'new to me' albums of 2007, it just does not reach me on an emotional level. Maybe I just never got that initial bad taste out of my mouth. That said when I got in my car for the first time in a week and SBS was in the cd player I was happy. -

This thread has made me reexamine my emotional connection to Wilco and music in general. I would agree that maybe I am not bored with SBS, but rather am not connecting on an emotional level. The songs meanings do not resonate with me. While some Wilco songs have helped me move through difficult times, I cannot listen to those songs any more due to that connection. But there are no songs on SBS that evoke an emotional response. I do not know what this adds to the conversation but it helps me, so... thanks for the support... group? -
Support group for those who are now bored with wilco

I discovered Wilco with Summerteeth and got really into it really fast. When I got a copy of YHF I hated it, then AGIB came and I Loved it, then found AM, BT MA1, MA2. These were great. Then comes SBS. When it first leaked it was great, then I got a copy and could not stand it. Now it is hard not to be bored with at least SBS. So to not be bored I listen to the demos, and live versions of song. I would join this support group if there was free coofe and it if was cheaper than a movie. and if it supplied a solution to Wilcobore. (A disease I just made up.) -
Not a complaint (see other threads for that) but a request

I agree. I have been to a number of shows where the crowd was not all that into an encore, either the crowd was to small or the band just sucked, but the band had their lighting set up for an encore so they came and did it any way. For multiple sets to work it would have to be explained to the crowd before hand. -
Arsenal are my favorite of the four as well. Inter are one of the best teams in the world right now, as much as it pains me to say it, and should deal with Liverpool handily. AC Milan will crush Arsenal though. QPR are now the richest football club in the world now. They are quite terrible right now but with more investment their supporters are saying they will be in the Premier League not next year but in 2009-2010. Schalke are still one of the premier clubs in Germany, but M

Milan drop form in the Champions league? I hope not! I cannot see Liverpool staying in 4 if their home form does not improve. With the current off the pitch problems or alleged problems that will not happen. It would be great to be Aston Villa or Pompy in the Champions League. Getting rid of the 'Big Four' hold on the top 4 spots would be great especially if the first to go was Liverpool. not really but as long as you are not a Liverpool, or Juventus fan I will tolerate you.

That clip is what my life is like with some of my friends thanks for sharing.

I had to watch the goals on youtube. They were good. I am really happy that he is doing well and may reverse the fortunes of Milan.

Well, maybe Jay should contribute so I do not have to talk to myself about soccer anymore. People are starting to think I'm crazy. AC Milan won today 2-0 with Pato grabbing both goals. moving up into 6 with two games in hand. 4 place is not out of reach.

Did she really think she tried to dishes while drunk? That would be hilarious if when a person became intoxicated they became a neat freak then vomited all over everything then had to take a shower, and pissed in the shower! The oven? I hope you do not eat her cooking.

To revive the thread: 16 Birmingham 17 Wigan 18 Sunderland all on 20 points given that fulham and derby are already relegated which one of the other three will go down? I think Wigan will go down. Sunderland has added some quality players this January, and Birmingham are defiantly better than the other two teams. Also does AC Milan have what it takes to make themselves relevant in their league or not?

It seems that for those who truly agree with a person's politics their religion should not matter as long as the two people agree. So the fact the Obama is a Christian should not have any real impact, but alas with all those crazy people involved,on both sides, religion never be removed form the public sphere of political life. Even if Obama was a Muslim would those who truly agree with his policies not support him because an email said he was Christian?

I just stumbled upon Daniel Johnston today. I really like his art (too bad it coast like $1000). Any suggestions on which album to buy for a first one? Thanks. Note: this could be moved into Someone Else's song, but whatever.

After reading this thread I listened to YHF all the way through again and realized that I really liked it a whole bunch. Reservations is my favorite song off of it and my have moved into my top 5 Wilco songs. I would agree that Jesus ETC. could describe feelings about Sept. 11, along with Ashes if one did not know better this album could be very moving, (I realize that Ashes is not about how great America is, but complimenting the people who burn the flag, that is why I said if I did not know any better.)

I do not know about better or worse, but this one got me right: Ron Paul

I have two stories: One: One of my good friends, with whom I go back and forth with on new bands, was forced to listen to some wilco with me. He said that he liked but could not realy like because, "I feel that people either love Wilco or hate it. No in the middle." I said that was crazy, but to no avail. Two: I had a friend, she would troll around Myspace looking for new bands. then tell others about her new favorite band. So myself and others would go check out these new bands. If anyone said something to her about a band that she had recommended she would instantly not like them anymore. I
