  1. I'm amazed that i've been to these the last 5 years and have yet to see a sunken treasure. Do people just assume somebody else will pick it or is the song not nearly as popular as i think it should be?

Sue: thanks for the last minute request for laminated cat. Was supposed to be for Melissa (my wife's) soon to be born child but it went just to melissa instead.... we were happy nonetheless

  2. Yeah i really could use one. In exchange I can provide you with good ol' American cash (of course equal to the face value of the ticket). Its a win win for you. You get the pleasure of sharing in the holiday spirit by getting me into the show and you get to walk away with money.

  3. Why are you surprised? I got two tickets and I'm still in shock that I got them. I had no doubt that this woudl be an extremely difficult ticket. Only Chicago show in over a year, at a tiny beautiful place.

I have 3 friends who i think got shut out. Is there another presale ?

  4. No idea.. When did you get them? I might have messed up. Got in at 10:00 and 2 seconds or something and got denied for center, then put in for 2 left of center tickets and got row E seats 6,8.

Psyched, thought this would be a lot tougher.

  5. Also to whoever was taping...first row third section on the right (unfortunately right in front of Jeff's life coach who wouldn't shut up).

Please let us know where and when you will post/upload the show.

    Thanks in advance.

  6. He went on at 740 last night. We got there at 705, walked right up and found 2 seats center in the 5th row of non 150 dollar tickets. PERFECT

"So i'm kind of on the fence about going. I've seen wilco lots of times and always loved it, but I've never seen Tweedy solo. What can I expect? Like how long does he play for and is there an opening band?

I'm just not sure because I'm kind of worried if it will be lacking something since it's not full band. I've heard plenty of Jeff Tweedy solo shows, but I'm not sure what it'd be like to actually be there. Anyone have any insight?"

I've seen Wilco probably less than I've seen Jeff solo now. Living in Chicago surprisingly gives you more chances to see Jeff than the band alone. I actually prefer these shows. The setlists are less predicatable (especially at the charity shows) and there is something so natural and perfect about these songs performed by just a man and an acoustic guitar. It definately gives them a different life which, in a lot of instances, I actually prefer.

  7. Great all around show as always

    Random Thoughts

    1) Shake it off: great, not sure why this is considered a "controversial Wilco song" surprised at how good it sounded solo

    2) Laminated Cat: still amazed and how much sound he gets out of one guitar for this

    3) Overall setlist did have a great mix and was psyched to hear Employer and Thirteen

    4) As far as the sing along comments....it works for some songs, but to be honest I want to hear Jeff sing, not my wife or the guy next to me. I appreciate the quiet respectful crowd that sang when appropriate and I didn't think it wasnt "lively"

    5) Surprised he said something along the lines of "this would be a great sing a long but most of you probably dont know the words" before Candyfloss.

    Was really surprised that

    1) He didn't open with Spiders (I loved Future Age so I'm not complaining) just figured with April 15th being the traditional Tax day that it was the perfect opener

2)Surprised he didnt play I Got You after At My window...would have been a perfect way to close

    THANKS SUE!!!!!
