My votes would go for T Rex, Thin Lizzy, Motorhead, Judas Priest, and MC5. (Apologies to Kraftwerk - they will get in eventually - my personal bias is for hard rock over krauttech.)

but I don't know what connects any of it to rock and roll.
Because "Popular Music of the 20th Century Hall of Fame" doesn't have a sexy ring to it.
-
I just don't see a connection between what she does and what rock and roll is, even in the widest definition.
EDIT: To be fair to her, I have not listened to all of her music. Maybe she's done some rock music I'm unaware of.
She's a pop star.
Billie Holiday is in. Brenda Lee is in. Donna Summer is in. Dusty Springfield is in. Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson, Nina Simone...
I would think that all of those performers have set enough of a precedent of the types of musical acts that get in that Whitney Houston wouldn't seem unusual.
-
I don't see why Whitney Houston would get in ever, but she'll get in this year. 100%.
I would assume that the amount of money generated by any music act would be a substantial factor into getting into the R&RHOF.

Can't believe T Rex is just now getting in. Glad to see it.
I think he's just on the list as a nominee. Not in yet...
-
And... just like that, I'm now getting "High Fashion Home" ads in my browser. Damn you big brother! Er, I mean All Hail Big Brother!

Sand it and repaint it?

Yeah, I love Hot Rats, but I'm not terribly interested in hearing the entire studio sessions for it.
-
ah. Got it. Yeah, I would say just say install itunes on your laptop. Then you'll need to add all your music files to itunes.

Does anyone have advise to update my wife's iPhone 7 music, using my Windows 10 laptop? My wife can't use her company's laptop and I have all my music library as ripped mp3's. Is downloading iTunes on my laptop the easiest solution, or is there something more simple? I love my Pixel. Just plug into a USB and drag and drop.
Thank you
updating the software? Or updating the downloaded music that she accesses and stores on her through iTunes?
How has she done so previously?

They must have messed something up there: the link is a 404 page at the moment.
A Hot Rats sessions box sounds mighty fine, tho!
Huh. Still works for me.

Fox News polls get an "A" grade/rating from 538.com

Yes, as I've been trying to say. It's unrecognisable (apart from they kept some circular windows) and no one at all related to GH lives there now.
ah. I'm confused as you mentioned that Olivia Harrison hadn't lived there in quite some time, when, in fact, she never lived there. George was still married to Pattie when they sold it in 1970.

For all you Hot Rats completists: *looking in Mr. Heartbreak's direction!*

I meant the Esher House (Kinfauns).
according to this, it's been substantially demolished.

I wonder who lives in George's old house now? It's amazing to think people used to just walk up to the house and talk to George. I've seen photographs of such meet-ups.
Pretty sure Olivia Harrison does.

Has anyone tried to use the new Music app on an iMac desktop? I just read a review of the Catalina OS, and it's looking like some really ugly (not user-friendly) changes are here. Still using iTunes on mine, but not sure how long that will be feasible. And is there going to be an actual subscription charge going forward for the privilege of using the app? Screw that.
I'll check it out tonight. I very rarely use the computer to play music - it's more of my main library, and I use my iphone to house whatever I want to listen to
-
Apparently there's also an anime film that was produced along with this album -- because why not?
Yes - it's on Netflix right now. Watched the first three or so songs.

Mountain alligators, duh.

Does he sing at all? Or is he just a talker?

My immediate take-away is that Zelenskyy is spelled with 2 Ys, and that's pretty sweet.

Been watching Sasha Baron Cohen's "The Spy" on Netflix. A little slow, but very interesting and well-made.

Holy shit - the White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham (who, by the way, has yet to hold a WH press briefing - since June) agrees with Trump that his opponents are "human scum." It's almost impossible to not invoke Godwin's Law here, but Jesus Fucking Christ.
