  1. Dont get me wrong, that wasnt meant as a slight. I love MMJ...trust me...lol. I was at the Radio City show back in June, am flying out to Louisville from Philly this weekend, will be seeing them in DC and Philly in September, and again on New Years at the Garden. It definitely wasnt a knock on them. And not to split hairs, but I think most bands start out in tiny bars and coffee shops lol. I agree though, its great to see them starting to reap the rewards of how much hard work they've put in throughout their career.
  2. Thats awesome, I love how they do stuff like that, like giving Pooch a poncho and a mic stand on Conan back in July. I wouldny expect a massive crowd though, they only sold 8,000 tickets. Thats a lot of people, but Im not really sure what you consider "massive". I know that it'll only be filled to 40% of the capacity (I was told max capacity is 20,000). In any case, it should be amazing.
  3. Myself and 2 friends will be flying out from Philadelphia for the Louisville show. From talking on the MMJ board we've found out that 9 of the 25 passengers on our plane are going to the show. Cant freakin' wait!
  4. My friend commented on the hat too, it was cool. I said "I could never pull that off", and he got a kick out of that. He was very friendly and gracious. As we walked away we were laughing like school girls, and believe me, Im not the type to get starstruck lol.
  5. Anyone still got a touch of that "kick ass show-hangover"? My ears stopped ringing around noon, but I still got that fuzzy, not quite with it kind of feeling. I love that feeling...
  6. Had a great time, was right down in the front thanks to my friends incredible luck with the presale. Guy next to us said he paid $200 per ticket for the same seats. The venue was excellent. $4 parking and $3 beers is awesome enough, but the building itself was beautiful. I liked the set but was surprised there was nothing from Summerteeth. How funny was it when Jeff motioned to the woman to stop clapping? Also got a kick out of Jeff forgetting the beginning of Hotel Arizona. Spiders nearly melted my face, probably my favorite of the night. Hung around out back for 20 minutes afterward and wa
  7. Because most of America wouldnt know good music if it crawled in their ears and screamed.
  8. That really is BS. I was only ever at one show where everyone sat, and that was Iron and Wine, also at the Tower. Wonder if its the venue...
  9. People actually told you to sit? Thats sad. Really sad, actually.
  10. Matt Pond PA from....you guessed it. Right here in Philadelphia actually.
  11. Longtime listener and this was my first show...wow. Im not too sure that I've ever seen musicianship of that caliber in my life, and Ive been to quite a few shows. I had the same experience Markosis had; 2 couples were split, (one downstairs, one on the balcony) and wanted to sit together. So instead of the balcony my friend and I ended up in the 13th row. The setlist was excellent. Personal favorites were probably Shot in the Arm (got everyone standing, thank God...I still dont know how people sit), Via Chicago, and Hate it Here. Jeff and Nels were great at the end of Handshake Drugs; that
