  1. 911 was used to start a useless war and for the republicans to get what they want, just like you stated. If people really care that much for this country and it's people they would pay more attetion to it. When I say most or some people don't, I mean that. I am in no way insulting the people who helped during 911, Katrina, or those mowing old people's lawns next door. Most and some people don't give a shit about anything but themselves period. Human nature as one person pointed out..but when I see a 911 sticker next to a Bush sticker next to a McCain/Palin sticker....I get pissed!
  2. Thank you for that post. This is exactly what I have been trying to say.
  3. Let's end this please. I explained that some people really did not care past the intial media craze. These are the same people who elected Bush without a nod to the fact 911 should not have happened to begin with. These are the people who left many doors to answers and help concerning 911 closed. These are the people that love Palin because McCain said so. These are the people who ignore what really happens in government. These are people who may not even vote.....they will go on with their life as usual and with as little concern for people as they can get away with. This has less to do wit
  4. My point is still that most people went on as usual, as if it never happened.Elected the Bush administration again, and let the government slide on 911 help and questions. Same thing happened with Katrina. So no, I really do not feel safe if war comes home. I don't trust the government or it's people 100% to be there. What I want from people is to elect leaders at all levels that will truly listen to the people and lead this country in a direction that keeps us safe from things like terrorism and national disasters. I feel like the republicans have used 911 left and right before doing the ri
  5. Most people in the country did nothing. They went on as usual. It's not a slap in the face to those who helped, many did, many went out to eat and got drunk. Perfect example of how it takes something to be in your face before you give a damn. Most of the country went on as if nothing happened, just like they do about most things.
  6. Although I don't consider Budweiser to be beer, don't scare me like that man!
  7. After reading this thread today and some feeling that the people and government will step up to future war(s), I have to disagree. Even after 911, Katrina went down, and continues to go down. 911 is not Katrina, but both represent the kind of shit that happens during war, people losing homes, family, lives..etc. Where is the government? People still need help. I do not believe if a war ever came to my doorstep I will be protected by the people, or the government period.
  8. The official new flag for the Stupid United States of America If they elect Palin/McCain than I will personally put this flag outside of my home with their names @ the bottom.
  9. Who do you think elects our government, works in government, pays for the government...robots?
  10. Dead toll from 911 as of today, from the government who was susposed to protect us, and susposedly does now... 2,974 dead from 911 4,076 Americans dead because we sent them to invade Iraq for a crime Iraq did not commit. Although, this # does not count those that kill themself, or die after they get home.1,255,026 Iraqis dead for oil, power, money, etc....or 911, something they had no part in?
  11. Who got their shit together? Tell that line to the dead people of Katrina, which now can now listed @ 4,081 DEAD people. The ones that made it, some are still waiting for help. Based on new death information, we can add the previous toll of 1,723 to the new post-Katrina figure of 2,358 to posit a new unofficial death toll of 4,081. Possible causes of the excess deaths in 2006 include stress, suicide, pollution, contamination, impoverishment and the devastation of the heath sector after Katrina. For instance, the suicide rate tripled in the first 10 months after Katrina.
  12. Where's the link to China scoring the oil we have been fighting for in Iraq?
  13. Even if Oprah did use her show to help Obama, and ignore McCain/Palin, it's her show. She's a talk-show host, not a journalist. It's not CNN, it's Oprah.
  14. Dude, that was bad! I doubt anyone has the guts to wear such a t-shirt though. Here's a good one for a McCain t-shirt...one that is animated and lights up!
  15. America is not the center of the Universe, and neither is our issues on racism.. I watched this, I still don't think the add was racist one bit. The monkey is their mascot, used in many commercials. This was not marketed towards us, so why should they be aware of American's issues with racism, or even care? We use a lot of racial & sexist undertones in our American media, ecspecially towards Japanese and Chinses people, latinos, and Pakastanies..etc. Americans are hippocrites! The company pulled the non-racist add because we are such whiney hippocrites.
  16. Looks like the monkey is the company's mascot and they were clueless to the racial suggsetions. Not everyone in the world is wrapped up in America's racism. I wish we would stop jumping at potential racism as if it's a national battle. Japan loves the silly monkey, it's a highly respected little creature. Apparently, they had 0 complaints in their country.
