Love that weird fam! No dancing though, it reminds them of porking. I could never figure out how they pay for all that tator tot casserole they eat. Since the show they seem to be rolling in the big bucks. Bought an RV & everything. Just like the little people fam on TLC. Skip college, land a reality show.

  2. if this one doesn't surface (it will, there were at least 2 tapers-however that's what I said about the albuquerque show and it still hasn't :ohwell ) I will be seriously bummed. It was one of those shows that blows you away so much that it needs at least 3 listens to absorb it all. Right down to the guy who requested Remember the Mountain Bed, got it, shouted out a thank you whnre it was through and got a you're welcome and thanks for the request from Jeff :D

    Was that you KansaAl?

  3. Hey, if she won't go I'll take her place. A marriage must include Wilco. You don't wanna life of sneaking down to the basement to get a Wilco fix now do you?

Just think about it, I can get off within a days notice :shifty

Would a show in Spain really be all that different than a show in the U.S.?

Yes! Every show has a different energy. I wouldn't pass this up!!!!!!

  4. I thought you were in that area, Tammy, and looked for you after Great Lakes Swimmers when I was hanging by the stage with Wendy. I listened for you, too. :stunned

We went to The Blind Pig before the show. Awesome!

Yeah, we opted for free drinks in the hotel room before the show & pizza. I heart the Blind Pig & my Dogfish Head 90min IPA..and the lovely Laguintas IPA I slurped down. I was rather subdued @ the show from my hopps concoction. Feels like thisj5idxi.gifbut grows legally on a vine in my front yard. Great choice for a solo show.

Did you get any good pics of the show?

Excellent show! A few of us were eating (in separate parties) at Radio Maria before the show and Jeff and his family came in and enjoyed ( I hope) the fine dining. Its my favorite place in Champaign so it was defiantly awesome to see him there. He and I made some eye contact with a nod as they were being seated and he gave a nod and a wave to my girlfriend but other than that we let the Tweedy family enjoy their meal in peace.

    Awesome!

    "cha cha cha's

I can't help but sing "cha cha cha" now!

  5. :wub JT was lovely :wub

Loved him unplugged & the goof ball poses!

    Great crowd!!!!!

Just returned to Missouri after a wonderful trip with Sal, Fatheadfred, and DocShock. Took a train from Kansas City to Iowa to visit Sal thursday & met up with the others for a nice ride to Champaign Saturday. Made time to get a massage, a swing by Springfield to see the ground Obama gave a sweet bid for the presidency & Biden accepted his plan to be the man. I found a gas station named WILCO somewhere on the way home.

I drank pure hopps tea before the show which went well with the mellow vibe from JT & the crowd. Sat a few rows behind Renic & crew. Saw Poppy Dawn (hi!) and some other VC folks there although I was to lazy to wander to that side cause I was hopped up on hopps tea & unable to move.

After the show we hit a yummy pub called "The Blind Pig Co" for some nice brew. Named one of the top 50 places to get beer in the country. About 45 minutes after the show we were in a random parking lot in the downtownish area & saw JT drive by right in front of our car. Good times!!! Thanks Jeff!

  6. Given that they (in all likelihood) won't live up to such a claim, I thought it appropriate to go just as a delegation from our side to formally censure them for such a wild untruth.

    :stunned

I can spare $5 to go as long as they show proper respect to JT. I'm always up for new music as long as gospel & new country isn't in the mix.

  7. I could never give up good beer. :cheers I will buy that before food. The man makes his own beer & hard cider, so we are stocked quite nicely for rough times. :beer

We are lucky to have solar so we save on not having a gas bill, sewer, water..and have a low electric bill. Me & fatheadfred only commute 6 miles to work so gas is cheap.

All the meat, eggs & raw milk we need is in our backyard so that saves some big $$$.

my cell is my only work phone @ my massage office so gotta keep it.

We ditched the movie channels for Blockbuster online.

I could never give up TV. :ohwell

I have a SIGG H2o water bottle so I try to avoid the plastic...and we have our own filtered water from our spring here @ home.

Gave up lattes for plain old java. We use a lovely french press & buy fresh roasted beans :worship

    Concert tickets...music before food. :rock

I need $500 dollars so one of my 5 dogs can have some much needed dental work. Donations excepted :blush

  8. Apparently there's a "Jeff Tweedy post-show" at the Canopy Club in Urbana...

Come see Sunset Stallion's second triumphant return of the year, this Saturday, January 31st at the Canopy Club. We'll be appearing with our good friends Butterfly Assassins, our mortal enemies Worlds First Flying Machine, and our racquetball partners Yoss Arian. The show begins at 10 pm, and tickets are $5 ahead, and $7 at the door. Contact any members of our troupe to ask for advance tickets if you please. Oh yes, and the show is most certainly considered a Jeff Tweedy post-show (fresh off his appearance on Iron Chef). Whether or not you have tickets to his show, one thing's for sure: we're going to blow that Wilco front man out of the water.

  9. Whenever I find a person in this small MO town that loves Wilco as much as me & Pedro do, they act as if they have found the cure for everything. As if we are a miracle. I tend to assume random Wilco fans have an interesting mind or something magical swirling in their brain the masses lack.

Average people like average music. Those with Wilco in their soul crave something you can't find in a prepackaged box. We just seem to be way cooler. I've just learned to live with my special coolness gift & share it with as many people as possible.

  10. "What do you mean, what do we read in Alaska? Katie, we have MY BOOK, actual newspapers and magazines just like the real world down here, except we don't need daily ozone alerts about unhealthy air to breath. And we have balanced government budgets, even surpluses. Ever been online, Katie? You can read anything there, as I do daily."

    Awesome!

I was a just out of highschool arcade assistant mgr that used my special key to play unlimited games. It helped me get guys!! :stunned

  13. I wish I knew chicks around here that liked JT too. Unfortunately chicks around here listen to garbage (not the band)

Sorry abouth the chick selection around here for ya. I'm happy to be going with you guys (this time I have my OWN hotel room!) despite the fact you guys are guys. It would be nice to find even 1 girl around W-Burg that digs Wilco.

Hang out @ Chipotle till a Wilco songs comes on & see if any babes look like they enjoy the music. You could meet the future Mrs. Paul.
