If you haven't already, tell her to listen to My Morning Jacket's Evil Urges song, Librarian
Love that song

Early 70s live VM is amazing. Have a great '71 show I grabbed on dime at one point

Probably gotta go with Cornell

I’m With Her. Do not miss. Those three women have created something truly special

Doing Prague > Krakow > Berlin this summer + one of the Fenway shows. Extremely excited. Been itching for some PJ shows

He was definitely fucked up. Saw them a few months ago and he was waaaaasted. Seems to be the norm on this tour from what I can tell

I’m team Dweezil, but I’ve never been able to get interested in seeing a FZ cover band. If it’s not FZ on guitar, I’m not interested.
Dweezil is a phenomenal guitar player. Such an interesting and bizarre style and phrasing

Listened to the record just now on my way home and I really enjoyed it. Par for the course with the last few U2 records, I particularly loved the second half. Little Things was probably my highlight on first listen. One thing I really love is how clearly this record is meant to be a companion to Songs of Innocence. When put in context, it's pretty clear that American Soul is supposed to basically be Volcano. The use of the lines from Iris and Song For Someone are both fantastically done IMO (reusing lines could be cheesy but I don't think it is) and I absolutely love 13. What a powerful ending

I love the Christmas albums. Was given them on CD when I was 10 or so. Played it to death

I like Susan a lot. My draw to TTB is and will always be Derek though. If they weren't in a band together I don't think I would ever seek out Susan's band. All that being said I definitely prefer Mike's singing. I also could do without ever hearing one of the straight up blues Susan features again (That Did It, etc...) I don't find her playing at all interesting, especially when Derek is standing right there

Understand your poin. Matt Mattison singing more would be welcome and I heard A rumor that Kofi sang in NY.
More of this would be welcome.,as they present as somewhat of an ensemble to me.
I agree in general, but the truth of it is that if they're adding songs for them to sing they will almost definitely be covers, and I'm just over their covers. Probably part of my problem is that I still just prefer dtb in general.

I'm pretty sick of TTB setlists these last few years. Way too many covers and hardly anything from the first two albums (first one in particular)

There was a great Wilco tab site I used to go to, but I can't, for the life of me, remember it

I actually really like "You're the Best Thing," but I'm one of the outliers that loved No Line on the Horizon and the back half of Innocence (particularly the last 3.) . No Line, in particular, is a seriously great rock and roll album (also the back half)

I don't get the whole 'private trading circles' mentality.
That 3/21/75 show is a great show. The 'No Quarter', especially.
Me neither. I have to imagine it's the thrill of knowing you have something that nobody else has?... I had a track of the LZ multis that wasn't distributed with the main batch and it was kinda exciting haha

It still amazes me that someone has a soundboard tape from that era they they kept all these years. And then someone comes along and offers them money for it (I guess).
There's a good deal of Zeppelin (and other band's) material still out there. Most of it is in private trading circles and the general public will, at most, just hear rumors. As soon as somebody in the chain of people with a copy of a tape sells it, they devalue it for everybody else. That doesn't happen often...

Kofi Burbridge had a heart attack mid week too. The extended ABB family can't catch a break this year

^ loved his Daily Show appearance

Wanted to add that this looked like an emotional evening for Jeff. Walking off stage after YHF either Glenn or John gave Jeff a good pat on the back and put their arm around him. Reminded me a bit of seeing Pearl Jam play Ten all the way through. Everybody (both the fans and the band) gets so used to the songs being played individually that the emotional impact of the whole album is sort of lost. Was quite moving

What a show. Said to my dad and brother right after Being There "what if they play YHF as the encore to the Being There set?" God damn.
There were a ton of tapers there just FYI. You'll have plenty of tapes I'm sure
Good news for U2 fans..

This show definitely needs to be experienced from Center court
