Dopapod and Tauk in Vienna, VA

I find the lack of whole love songs very surprising. I was under the assumption that at least two or three of those were in the regular rotation
-
god that was fun. I got my ELT! Albeit an acoustic version, but still! Not much I San say beyond what everybody else has already said. Great night of great music. I don't usually travel for Wilco but I'm very glad I did yesterday.

Never mind, just called HOB for set times and they told me Soulive goes on at 8:00! Woohooo!
Oh damn! They're probably not supposed to tell you that haha
-
Maybe it's too cliche for Jeff but I could see them both starting and ending the run with Via Chicago
-
I don't know what nth power is doing but they could be another possibility with Nigel being in the family
-
Tuna was fantastic. I've been a big fan of Larry and Teresa since swing them at Solid Sound with Levon. Played two sets and I had a great time.
As for TTB opener, I could definitely see kraz in some capacity

Tedeschi Trucks Band
My brother was supposed to go to this but has the flu. Should be great. I'm interested to see who the surprise opener is

Wilco!
This finally!

That's a nice looking setlist but godfuckingdamnit they played ELT again and I missed BOTH of them!! Looking forward to tomorrow!

Yeeah.. Could only make one night and chose that one. Oh well! I thoroughly enjoyed pretty much every classic rock cover (especially And Your Bird Can Sing x2)

2nd that. I'd been hoping for one of my favorite bands to do an all-covers show for years. Covers, an all-acoustic show, an album show - Wilco could do any of those things, announced or unannounced, and I'd be ecstatic.
One of my other favorite bands has done it and I thought it was awesome, but I just didn't enjoy the selection of Wilco's cover set. Probably largely because Wilco is really the only band towards this scene of music that I listen to, so all but about 6-7 of the songs were entirely lost on me. Left that show more let down than almost any other concert experience I had ever had. Went it totally expecting an awesome show of rare Wilco songs per request though
-
No offense, but I've never understood wanting to see them play other popular one off covers. I've been going to the Tweedy solo benefit shows every year and I always get annoyed when people request stuff like Radiohead, Zeppelin, Beatles, etc instead of a sweet Wilco/Tweedy song. It's not like they don't have a huge back catalogue to choose from!
Agreed. I honestly thought that solid sound covers set was a huge letdown

Do it! Can never go wrong seeing Jack and Jorma. And give them one "Hot Fuckin Tuna" for me and the gang from the Academy of Music days.
Ticket purchased. Should be fun!

^ I'm with you on the acoustic show. If I want an acoustic Wilco show I go see Jeff...
-
I'm also curious about that. Seems like very little when I read through the sets...

Thinking about hitting up Hot Tuna at the Sixth and I Synagogue in DC
-
If setlist.fm is correct looks like tonight got my Friday night ELT... Oh well, I'll keep stuffing the ballot box and maybe they'll do it again
-
Do you only get one presage code per tour? Like if I subscribed and bought a pair to msg could I still get a pair whenever they announce dc (probably next leg)?
-
I believe you have to contact the member. Probably via private message
-
eBay or expressobeans are usually the way to go for aftermarket posters
Eta: it appears there's one for sale on expressobeans but it's asking $150

My newest acquisition. Custom G&L ASAT Special. I love it. Like a Tele with some serious balls

I listened on the radio -- there was one instance, I believe between the Late Greats and the Good Part where Jeff was mid-sentence and suddenly his banter cut out and the next song started. I figured they censored that part.
You're not talking about the part where he was giving Glenn shit for starting songs while he was talking (so Glenn went ahead and did just that)?

That was fun

I'd be happy to help too. A resource like phantasy tour or all things umphrey's would be a great and fun resource for the wilco community
