  1. My box set arrived today. Live Rust sounds fantastic  :)

Decade was my first real immersion into Neil's catalog and I love it.  While it does contain a handful of non-album tacks, I wasn't expecting him to include a compilation in the box set series.

Deep Forbidden Lake and Winterlong are two of my favorites. Maybe Decade will get a standalone release someday, I think it's a fantastic compilation.

  2. I picked up the rerelease of TFA when it came out on vinyl in that box set two Black Friday's ago. I'm just hoping that whatever kept him from rereleasing TFA for so long will mean that the rest of his material should come out without a hitch.

I found a brand new copy of Silver & Gold a couple of months back. as far as I know he never rereleased that one on vinyl, so I was pretty excited to find it!

  3. I know Neil's been quoted as having personal reasons for not having TFA released, but hopefully now that the Archives are almost completed that means all they have to do is just release it.

I would love to have Ragged Glory, Harvest Moon and Sleeps with Angels on Vinyl. Or the Dead Man Soundtrack  :twitchsmile

  4. I have the orange vinyl, but I'm currently moving and haven't been able to play it on my table yet. Hopefully it's ok..but based on what I'm reading most people ended up with "bad" copies.

For what it's worth, I have the orange vinyl and it sounds great. There's still hope!

  5. It's more than a fucked-up country record. And that's a good thing. I'm only spinning it for the first time since I Heard Schmilco so I'll need more time to digest it.

Common Sense is going to be great live, I'm sure. I wish I had a chance to see them on this tour!

  6. It was a modest crowd at Sonic Boom but it had a nice vibe, there were maybe 20 or so people there but only half came for Wilco. At the end they had a raffle for the gum, slipmat and they had two LP's to giveaway. I won one of the test pressings which was pretty nice!

  7. I just got it officially, via Frocksteady, the EU Wilco store. They sent me the download link, and told me the LP is on its way to me.

I haven't listened yet, but the record is out there now, legally, for some. :banana

I'm guessing that means people who preordered it from Kung Fu are getting it next? :excited:
  8. For some reason songs you've heard a thousand time sound so much better when you hear them on the radio. If you have to check to make sure your not listening to your ipod that means you've got a good station.

I want to know why that is. Or if you hear a song on TV or in a movie or something. It's always way better than hearing it on Pandora.

It's so true though. I've been to places where there's nothing but pop country and heavy metal/"alternative rock" stations so I feel real fortunate to live in an area that has so many high quality radio stations.
