  1. You're not imagining it, I saw it too. It was in the comments on one of their Facebook posts.

I'm pretty sure last tour was announced 6 months before it happened. Since we haven't heard anything I'm beginning to think its not happening this year. :(

Last tour was over 2 years ago. They said they loved us. They called us baby.

  2. Your subject title raises my hopes so high just to smash them...

On Facebook in the comments a couple of months ago they said they would do Australia in 2012. I was hoping for April/May but they're leaving it late for that.

  3.

What a bummer it's Australia OR Brazil. I don't understand why they don't line up more shows in the Southern hemisphere during the north winter. But yay for Australian tours. Fingers crossed it's announced soon!

  4. Hmmm I get the word Aistralia in that but Im afraid the rest is lost on me. I assume it's something like Tweedy is moving to Australia and we will get a heap more shows now....

Oh how embarrassing, I just spelt my own country wrong. Stupid fat fingers.

  5.

In amoungst those Facebook whiney dumb people comments they did say they would play Australia and Ireland in 2012. I assume on different tours ;).

I can't wait! I'm tipping May. They could have easily added Adelaide and Perth to the tour last time and sold them out. Although Australia is far from the US, it's not far from Asia and most bands flow through from there. It's also a scientifically proven fact that Australian audiences are the greatest in the universe.

  6. Oh my god oh my god oh my god!!!

Sooo excited!!! Still on maternity leave then now I just need to find babysitters in each city... :)

I see they're playing the Forum and Tivoli again, I love those venues. I'm all for a standing show, though playing the Opera House OS very iconic.

    Happy happy happy happy!!!

  7. 1 + 2. Im a huge Neil Finn fan so went along to the 7 Worlds Collide II shows. Had no idea who this "Wilco" band were. Neil was obviously a huge fan as about half the show was Wilco. I remember grooving along to Hoodoo Voodoo thinking "they don't suck". Walking back to the hotel after it I was saying to my friend "I didn't even know any of their songs", when I realised I was walking past Jeff Tweedy and Johnny Marr! We stopped for a chat and said how we loved the show and were new Wilco fans no, they were very nice. Went to the next 2 shows as well but I remember it was when they played At Least Thats What You Said that I got chills. Went home and bought all of their CDs and been a fan ever since.

  8. Could be Neil. It says new project, and I'm pretty sure he's doing a new project with his wife, called pajama party.

Wilco and Neil are my two favs. I loved the festival last year, spewing I can't go this year. Unfortunately having s difficult pregnancy in another country REALLY rules that out. Instead Im on bed rest being taunted with emails about the line up.

  9. Ha, I had the same thought Rock Pools! Isn't it funny that at the mention of japan we all wonder if australia will get a look in. I automatically started thinking what do I have on in August... Bit bad for me then, my baby is due start of septempber, but I would still make it happen if they came. Wonder how much my ob meant it when he said no flying after July...

Either way doubt we will get a look in, with the new album due out and it being summer in the US.

PS if any of you are friends with me on facebook don't mention it there yet, little surprise for work I haven't told them about yet!

  10. Dads are awesome. I hope yours gets better soon Donna.

Next time your there and he's sedated leave a big note stuck up next to the bed for him when he wakes up. I was asleep in hospital once when my dad visited and he wrote me a lovely note on the back of my nephews painting which was stuck up. Nice to feel loved even when no one is there.

Hope your situation has a good outcome too Mike.

On the postive side, its making everyone else appreciate their family which is something we can all take for granted.
