  1. there isn't much for me to add since everyone has said it all. it was great to see everyone i've met over the years & meet some new folks. i will never forget the group sing a long during someday soon that surprised the surrounding crowd or how our group sang loudly the first verse of via chicago to scare the dude in front of us (the look on his face was PRICELESS!!!). oh, and the saturday night dance party? hells yes! :rock

i'm ready to do it again! see you next year for sure.

  2. I can't wait for more information to come out. I have a crazy busy couple of months to keep me busy at least. I'm off to San Fran tomorrow to see a couple of Faith No More shows then a weekend at Coachella, then the National in L.A. next month and off to Sasquatch at the end of May.

I love life. :) I can't wait to hang out with some of you and camp. I'm still calling it WilcoFest for the record. :P

I damn near forgot about the Roger Waters The Wall tour, that's going to round out the year perfectly.

i am INCREDIBLY jealous of you right now

  3. laminated cat, all the summerteeth songs & wishful thinking were highlights for me! of course, thank you friends had me in tears. i knew that they had been playing it & i told my mom ahead of time that i would probably cry. she said she'd was looking forward to seeing that since it was rare for her to see me cry! weird one she is!

  4. it was pretty snazzy! especially from your seats, lol. it's way nicer then the fox in st. louis. i really enjoyed the lighting @ the show & even remarked that i had never really paid attention or remembered wilco even having something like that as part of their shows, the exception being one year @ the auditorium theater in chicago. i think it was before mikael was really in the band & he was doing it. but i could be totally wrong about that.

the stripped down part of the show was just awesome. and standing next to my mom who was singing & dancing along to a bunch of the songs was even better!!!!

  5. yeah, they played the Ryman 2 years ago. I guess it makes sense that the Atlanta venue is a bit bigger cos there are a ton of major cities within driving distance. I bet there will be almost as many out of town folks as actual Atlanta folks.

i will be one of those, but my mom won't be!!

  6. Yes, this does suck. Trying to get tickets for Atlanta to take my son to his first Wilco show, and I am unable to get any availability on ticketmaster even though the show does not indicate "sold out." I also checked stub hub and laughed at the outrageous prices. I am hoping that somehow a few additional tickets will be made available as the date draws closer. Seeing them in Sept '01 at the Roxy in Atlanta with a few hundred other general admission folks who were singing along to YHF tunes before the album release seems like decades ago!

At least I have Savannah on Thursday night (3/25)!

i didn't read the whole thread yet, but my mom was able to score 2 tix for us this morning by going down to the box office.

  7. I dunno about anything that's been posted in this thread and plead ignorance to most of the health care debate. That is until recently I was diagnosed with diabetes. The medicine to treat my diabetes alone costs a small fortune and I am insured! And still I am paying out the wazoo to get the meds I need at that. I can only imagine what someone who is uninsured and in my same health has to pay.

this happened to me in march of this year. 4 days in the hospital to stabilize my blood sugar. now i have the pleasure of injecting 2 types of insulin up to 4 times a day & have to test myself all the time. i work 24 hours a week & i have no insurance. fun stuff huh!

however, the clinic that i go to is extremely knowledgeable in patient assistance programs (not to mention that i don't pay for the lab work for the tests) & since i fit into a certain income bracket, the hospital wrote off the entire stay, including a visit with a nutritionist and a diabetic educator (twice even). b/c of the 2 places, i now don't pay for either insulin or pen needles. i was also able to move into an apt owned by a friend that's like family so i pay next to nothing in rent so i can make sure i can properly take care of myself. the only thing i have not been able to find is some sort of program or discount for the test strips, which come to about a dollar a strip.

all in all, i got really lucky for being so sick.
