  1. I LOVE this album.. So is the sound gonna change? I didn't have a problem with it.. did anyone notice static at the end of Sonny feeling? Was that intentional?
  2. Does the stream have the same quality as the leak?
  3. You know what I mean, they won't be trying to be silly the whole time...
  4. Considering that one of the songs is about a dude who just killed his girlfriend, I don't think you have to worry about all of the songs being silly like Wilco (The song)
  5. Think how awesome of a living room photograph this would be... like a mural
  6. I sense some sarcasm there, but I kinda feel like they are digging the not taking themselves seriously thing...
  7. I second this statement.. the album cover should not be a factor in whether or not the album is good..just enjoy the music, man! I think the cover art is great
  8. Oh and also, how would minimalist match descriptions such as "gorgeous, layered chamber pop?"
  9. can it. Camels are awesome.
  10. Hahahahah...but it is a great cover nonetheless
  11. I know. The reviewer actually goes as far to attack Jim on a personal level... it's crazy how little the music is actually talked about.
  12. Regardless of whether or not Wilco fans see it as relevant, it's just interesting how others see music, that's all.
  13. That's what I'm saying, It does have influence, a "Pitchfork Effect," if you will. I know this is from Wikipedia, and all of my high school teachers would be mad, but... Some publications[3] have cited Pitchfork in having played a part in "breaking" artists such as Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Interpol, The Go! Team, Junior Boys, The Books, A Place To Bury Strangers, Broken Social Scene, No Age, Wolf Parade, Tapes 'n Tapes and Titus Andronicus. Conversely, Pitchfork has also been seen as being a negative influence on some indie artists. As suggested in a Washingto
  14. I love GCT, but I just adore the simple, barbed, feel that Sneaks and Kill the Moonlight are all about. Girls Can Tell had a complexity about it, but I very much enjoyed it.
  15. I'm not saying those things at all.... I was just making an observation... I love Wilco and other bands that I enjoy no matter what, It is just sad that some people can't simply love the music, you know?
  16. Agreed. Just pure spoon.. it's really a rush to listen to. I would have to say this or Kill the Moonlight is my favorite record of theirs.
  17. They are influencing those who rely on their reviews when buying albums... They are known to have an effect on the sales of artists (See The Airborne Toxic Event). Wilco doesn't give a damn at all....
  18. I know it's the big single/the best starting song, but it is simply a fabulous song that I always listen to.
  19. Oh man.. I gotta do this too. Telephono- Cvantez A Series of Sneaks- Metal Detektor Girls Can Tell: Tied between Lines In The Suit and Me and the Bean (I know it's a cover, but it is still awesome) Kill The Moonlight: Paper Tiger, Stay Don't Go, or Vittorio E. (Can't Decide!) Gimme Fiction: I Summon You Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga: Black Like Me
  20. I thought Gimme Fiction was a strong album. I really like I Summon You
  21. Nah, but I'll guess that there is no possibility that the actual topic will be given any thought, just attempts to make others seem immature and irrational for your own benefit....
  22. You should be so proud of that post! I bet you feel great!
  23. Ha. Ha. You also missed mine... Pitchfork can write what they want, but it is frustrating that they have such an influence. For example, it is common knowledge that Pitchfork has a make or break factor in up and coming bands. A review can be a blessing or a curse. It is just unfortunate that a reviewer that reviews music through factors having nothing to do with the music itself commands such influence.
