It actually segued very nicely. sounded great!

Whoops! I meant to say the venue doesn't really lend itself to raging, out of control, rock concerts.

I thought the lights were very tasteful. Granted i was in the the center mezzanine so i was kind of looking down on them, and i am more accustomed to a CK5 light show... But to each their own. I I will say this about the crowd. I saw families, young couples on dates, married couples, groups of teens, and even a few folks raging the parking lot. Considering the diversity of attendants (and music too. i mean a solo acoustic opener for a rock show?! Not hating on Nick Lowe, just saying, is all i'm saying) i thought the crowd was incredibly attentive, quiet, respectful. From my seats it looked

I was just going to start a thread on Hiatt, as i hope to see him in the near future. Terribly under-appreciated and unknown musician. For your listening pleasure, Crossing Muddy Waters. Such a sad, beautiful song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PYKmvx-Lms

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up jakobnicholas. I look forward to giving this album a spin.

Diane - my advice to you is this: surrender to the phlow! their catalog is too big and diverse to really be on the look out for anything. be prepared to dance you ass off and make sure to stay hydrated! The portsmouth show will surely be a treat. What a cool, intimate venue. Have fun! Also, while Page side may be rage side, i much prefer to get bassed right in front of Gordo. Again, hope you have a blast!

The Phish owned Loving cup. Great straight forward rocking version. Trey's tone sounded fantastic and everyone looked good, albeit older. It was a great preformance. Keith Richards had to be impressed. -
i will also agree with Turnips. the song is a bit dylanesque. the lyrics remind me of desire for some reason.

I absolutely love this song. From the very first time i heard it on W(TA) to the live versions. I love it. I must have listened to it liek 15 times in a row when i first bought the album. And i'm listening to 11-04-09 at work right now and it just came on. I keep listening and relistening and felt compelled to start a thread about it. After reading some reviews from W(TA) i remember a lot of people not really like this song. but i truly think it's one of the best on the album I really like the folky feel of the lyrics and feel that Jeff's delivery of them is perfect. The guitar intro is g
