    A Cherry Ghost
  1. One of the many things I love about this band - they could play much larger venues and choose to play these smaller, more intimate locations. Rumsey Playfield (in the rain) Terminal 5, The Welmont Theatre in Montclair, Count Basie in Red Bank, and so on.
  2. Correction on the venue - Capitol Theatre Portchester, NY. Date not yet announced but I was told in that small september window between the Wilco dates and the Tweedy dates. I guess the Nels Kline dates have to be considered also. If I find out before it is announced I'll definitely share.
  3. I think it is going to be between the Virginia dates and the beginning of the Tweedy tour on the 19th. I'm sorry I don't have more information, but I'll try to get confirmation tomorrow. I was so excited when I got the call and the invitation on Friday afternoon, I wanted to share what I knew on here. I looked at the paramount theatre website and their calendar is open between September 8th - 12th and then the 15th thru the 18th. That synchs with the Tweedy Tour schedule and the early September Wilco commitments.
  4. Wilco is going to announce a show in the NY metro area at a theatre. Show will be in late September. Two dates I think, but not sure. They are also going to announce a few other dates as well. Paramount Theatre in Hudson Valley I think is the venue in NY.
  5. Very psyched for my first Solid Sound Festival! Just wondering if anyone else on here is staying at the Crowne Plaza Pittsfield? I was talking to a local travel company about rides to and from the Festival site from the hotel. (It's about 20 miles each way) They have van service also, so I was wondering if anyone wanted to pool in on a van friday night and saturday with my friend and I? Thought we could share the costs of the van. If so please email me: mike@shorecreativegroup.com Thanks and looking forward to seeing you all up there!
  6. Here it was. I thought the show was really good but I agree would prefer the longer Wilco set. The way Jeff paces the sets is amazing and I thought you missed a little bit of that last night. Still a great time and I love that venue. Hate getting in and out of there, but its a nice place to see a show. 7. Thank you both. I thought I had quicktime on my mac (duh) but perhaps not. I'll investigate. I do have Audio Pro Hijack which worked to rip the Maryland Show from NPR. Anyway, thanks again.
  8. Is that right? Wow, that would suck. I thought for sure they would do another east coast leg. Are you saying you've heard no Solid Sound this year? That would also be a drag. Lets hope for the best, otherwise i'm going to travel to see them. I would agree with this, I like the sets on this tour. I guess perhaps if they did one set of the album front to back and then came back with a set of other material....still I'm cool with things as they have been. Shows have been phenomenal.
  9. Hello, was wondering if someone could tell me what program is necessary to play the shows in the road case. it seems that since they revamped the website, I've had difficulty playing the shows. I've contacted Wilco HQ a few times but haven't heard back. I'm sure they have more things to worry about then my tech issues. Any help is appreciated, would love to here this civic opera house show.
  10. Thank you my brother. You know, Greg Allman used to say about the Allman Brothers Band back in the 70's, that, at that time, they were "right in the pocket" meaning that they were never better right at that time. Please forgive the analogy here and perhaps some of you disagree, but it's just that I feel like this band is right in the perfect zone right now. The chemistry, at least from the seats, seems never better, the new record is so phenomenally good, it's hard to find a bad song in the live sets right now. The shows are so damn good, and they are playing so well. The crowds are hangin
  11. The really sad thing is that this show was sold out, which means that a perfectly good ticket for a perfectly good fan was usurped by the likes of this mouth breathing agoraphobe. Idiot.
  12. There could be a weather delay if there is thunder and lightening but otherwise we going to get soaked in all likelihood. Just have to hope that it isn't too bad and maybe there will be a break in the showers during the set.
  13. Hello! I have a pair of tickets for Thursday night's show in Central Park. Just looking for face value obviously, so if you want to see what promises to be a great show, please just email me mike@shorecreativegroup.com I am going Friday ands cannot wait! Thank you...
