  1. This makes me think of The Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra sessions.
  2. I think recall reading about about that in the Taper's book, but I don't recall it exactly perfect.
  3. Prince is in there. Although I don't care for them, Sonic Youth should be in there someday I think.
  4. Grateful Dead Live at Fillmore West on 1970-06-06
  5. It seems to be a bit confusing. Some of them are listed Blu-Spec Import re-masters, other are not. I doubt I will buy any of these, as I already own them all. I am curious to hear what they sound like, but there are no bonus tracks, or other goodies, so it is hard for me to justify buying them again.
  6. I've never bought any of the Dylan re-masters. We talked about that Mellencamp deal in some thread around here. It's called CODE. I think I read somewhere that Neil Young was working on some new audio format also. I find that I am happy with re-masters done in HDCD.
  7. Miles Runs the Voodoo Down
  8. That is a good question. He sure does like to start blogs and websites and then shut them down.
  9. I put Blue-spec cd in the search box at Amazon.com, and here is what came up in the search. It appears to mainly be a Japanese deal.
  10. They just installed a big Springsteen exhibit.
  11. I found the article above and this one by way of the Rush is a Band (blog).
  12. I wondered about that too. If it is fake, then someone is imitating him pretty good I'd say.
  13. We all have bands we think should be in there. James Hetfield has been talking about all the bands that should be in there - bands that made it possible for Metallica to exist in the first place.
  14. This is a good deal: Metallica Reuniting 'Black Album' Band For Hall Of Fame Showe Also, you can now buy a replica of Jeff's 1954 Les Paul Oxblood: Gibson.com link Story and photos
  15. I've heard some live shows, but not studio albums.
  16. I read somewhere recently that she never felt that she was part of the alt.country deal. I find that interesting. I'd say my favorite is still Furnace Room Lullaby and Blacklisted. I have listened to those cds hundreds of times. 1997 The Virginian 2000 Furnace Room Lullaby 2001 Canadian Amp (EP) 2002 Blacklisted 2004 The Tigers Have Spoken (live) 2006 Fox Confessor Brings the Flood 2009 Middle Cyclone
  17. Me either. I've never really heard any of the band members solo work.
  18. I noticed in the new issue of Rolling Stone the reviewer says the new album "gives off a strong country vibe, with lots of pedal steel and acoustic guitar".
  19. I've read about those songs, but never heard them. I can't recall exactly, but I think those tracks were done around the same time as the Rolling Thunder tracks.
  20. I have it on vinyl - it was given to me by a guy who owned a record store here back in the 90s. I also have the cd, which I found in a record store in Pittsburgh last year. I also have this on vinyl: Great Grape. It was given to me many years ago by a guy who bought it when it came out. I would love to find original pressings of the albums. This is the one I have: Moby Grape ED137
  21. If you dig around at Amazon, I think you can find Moby Grape/Wow/Grape Jam for 30-40 dollars now. I am glad I managed to buy all of them when they came out. You will also see the San Francisco Sound releases listed there, which is the company of the Moby Grape's old manager. Those releases are sourced from vinyl. And in the case of Wow/Grape Jam, is not even complete - that is, it is heavily edited to make it fit on one cd. I would not buy those. The first album was also out by way of the UK label Demon/Edsel Records.
