I'd be surprised if there is that many out there. It's like Brad, Tom, and Joey, (Aerosmith) - they called themselves "The Less Interesting Three."

I suppose you have to know that there is at least one other person around here that posts this sort of thing. So, it's all been seen before. No surprise there - as most stuff gets posted over and over again. I don't have a problem with this sort of thing, it's like ghosts or The Bermuda Triangle, there is something there, somewhere. The problem though, is the source. When I looked the guy up, I found this: So - I have a hard time with what he wants me to watch after reading that. -
I always like to read Larry's answers to questions. He does not mess around.

I am going to get that movie. I just recalled it is coming out next month on DVD. I hope the quality is better than what I taped off of TV back in the 90s.

They even did Dickey's "hippie" song (Revival).

I should have said backing track - as Mr. Indy pointed out. I wish they would have done a live vocal. Which is one of my main problems with some of Neko Case's albums, the vocals are too sanitized.

This sort of thing reminds me of when stores went from carrying albums to carrying mostly cassettes.

Also in the article I mentioned above, it suggests that Wal Mart was going to do away with cds all together until they saw how many millions of people bought the last Eagles cd there. OF course, that was the only way to get it. We don't have a Borders here, but I use to go to one in PA. The whole bottom floor of the place was filled with rows and rows of cds. That's gone now.

I am still looking for the show that was not suppose to be taped. I may have a source - I will know sometime today.

I am curious to hear the next album. There seemed to be a lot of positive discussion of it in the interview.

Analogman replied to hardwood floor's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
When I get that message, I just do a refresh by right clicking on the desktop, and then, Firefox will open. Something tells me you may be beyond that now though. -

There are a few interesting things in the recent Rolling Stone interview - although the interview seems to be mainly about what Bono does during the day. One thing I learned - Moment of Surrender was recorded in one take. They were making it up as they went along.

Golden Ticket deleted scene.

There have been five so far: American University 12/13/70 S.U.N.Y. at Stonybrook: Stonybrook, NY 9/19/71 Macon City Auditorium: 2/11/72 Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, NY: 5/1/73 Boston Common, 8/17/71 I am curious to what they sound like -

Atlanta Pop was professionally recorded. It's the playing that I feel is ragged. Maybe loose is a better word to use. Speaking of The Beacon Run - I have to post this again: That is funny. I've always though that the dictionary definition for the word longing should include a listing for the song Melissa.

I have the Hittin' The Note (which you can buy in Barnes and Noble now) that has a long interview with Kirk West where he talks about the archival releases. I think they originally planned to do a Dick's Picks type of deal. I think the band was not to happy about some of the releases that have come out, such as the Atlanta Pop Festival cds. I recall reading somewhere about a lawsuit they had going on with Polygram over tapes of shows and unreleased studio tracks.

I hope this gets an official DVD release some day: Fillmore East - 09/23/1970. It's a bit ragged.

Exactly. It's his playing that stinks. I've never heard One Way Out, and I have not bought any of the vault releases except for Live at Ludlow Garage: 1970, Fillmore East, February 1970, and Live at the Atlanta International Pop Festival: July 3 & 5, 1970.

That's a great box set. I really like those early Hour Glass and Allman Joy tracks. God Rest His Soul is a cool song. Speaking of live albums, Peakin' at the Beacon is junk. I think I actually threw that cd in the garbage.
