I think Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was the last good one - and Vol. 4 is probably my favorite. Some people think all those Ozzy albums sound the same - but they don't.

Reign Over Me -
Uh, I still feel that way. One of the reasons I can't get that much into new stuff is the musicianship factor.

I heard this last month - while viewing the trailer for the movie. -
There are many lists out there of the bands that could be in the R&RHOF and are not.

Some are, some are not.

BS made a whole bunch of albums in the 80's/90's - but they were mostly BS.
-
BS got in the R&RHOF LY.

Interesting - I'd probably just rather here the original. But then - I don't go and see bands and have never really been to that many live shows.

I actually agree with something Mr. Hagar said a few years ago - that they should do a tour with both him and Dave - each play a set - and then call it a day after the tour was over.

Oh - it's some VH freaks pestering him becasue he mentioned that he recently took some photos of VH - people want to know who's in and out, of course. That is two messages mashed together. His answers are underneath the messages - I should have posted that better.

That's all well and fine - even The Beatles started out that way (of course) - but there comes a time to create your own thing I think.

wot?

Speaking of VH - check Ross Halfin's blog for gems like this:
-
He juggles making mediocre rock music and being a tequila salesman quite well.
-
That seems all the rage these days - began by the success of the Rod Stewart albums of songs from the good old days. This is how the Stones began - covering all those old blues/rock songs.
-
Plus - we are once again talking about the show tunes/brill building thing vs. the blues/country thing.
-
What I ment was - they had a whole group of people behind what they did. Case in point - Ronnie Spector recently went through yet another lawsuit with her former husband in an attempt to get money for the songs she sang on - the case failed. I don't mean to knock the whole girl group thing - although, it is not my cup of tea. At least with the early British Invasion bands they played thier own instruments and wrote songs - although some more than others of course.
-
Also - I think The Ronnettes, The Shangri-las, etc. were sort of like the Britney Spears/Christine Aguilera of thier day.
-
I don't care for her either.
