  1. Stunning gig, the sound was perfect from the mezzanine just behind the mixing desk. I'm glad Jeff admonished the guy in the crowd who pronounced Cherry Ghost 'shit' after Jeff asked about him after finishing 'Theologians'. 'That's not nice, I bet he works really hard', he said. And he's right.
  2. About 90 minutes ago, spotted Nels and Glen strolling in Leeds city centre looking for The Ship pub, where they were due to meet some of their crew. They were right outside it!! Had a nice 5 minute chat and got their autographs for my Nels-mad son before they made off for a couple of drinks no doubt. What nice people, really relaxed and looking forward to tomorrow night. I said to them that I was already pre-booked to see Steve Earle the same night so wouldn't be there and Glen said something like "good choice, I don't blame you!"
  3. My first Wilco show - we are a bit starved in the UK and its been quite a wait after the cancellation of the 07 tour. Anyway, it was worth the wait and that it coincided with Jeff's birthday was a nice event that may have explained the band's visible joy at playing London. The above poster is correct, London audiences are fickle but this one transcended the odd surroundings, the over-zealous luminous-jacketed staff and was up for it straight-off, from what I could make out from the rail on the mezzanine level which overlooked the pit-like area. The SBS tracks take on another dimension live
