  1. Oh and the best game for the DS is Animal Crossing.

You are my hero. For a year, I was gardening, shooting down UFOs, fishing, and spelunking. Oh, and I was also well known for introducing some odd vocabulary to my citizens so that they would greet me with "Siegheil!" The patterns I laid down on the floor looked much more offensive. Eventually, I offended anyone that entered my town. That is how you deter people from cutting down your apple trees. :P

If you're not picky, wait until march 2011 to get the new Nintendo 3DS which is basically better graphics, some 3d capabilities, more games, and etc. You'll also have a new set of games to choose from that the DS could not play. The DS is NOT limited nor is it specifically geared to adult games. It just so happens that the adult market is popular for the DS. There's plenty of games to choose from like Mario Kart (not a platformer may I add), Nintendogs, Animal Crossing, Disgaea, and Meteos.

If you plan to buy an xbox 360, I would highly suggest perhaps placing it on top of an extra large egg carton to keep the air flowing and prevent red ring of death.

  2. Here we go. It should be noted that my #1 is head and shoulders above everything else.

    1. Titus Andronicus - The Monitor

It's really good! It's not my favorite of the year, but I was quite shocked by what I heard and the beauty of it. I hope to see more VCers pick this up, so there goes my bump.

  3. I'm not sure I understand your point here. He's called himself a Christian (or maybe a small c christian) for years. He certainly wasn't hiding it on Seven Swans.

"I don't think music media is the real forum for theological discussions,... ...I think I've said things and sung about things that probably weren't appropriate for this kind of forum. And I just feel like it's not my work or my place to be making claims and statements, because I often think it's misunderstood."

01 LCD Soundsystem - This Is Happening

The Promise gains honorable mention, because it's awesome; unfortunately it's not a new album, but rather a compilation set, which disqualifies it from my list.

I have a feeling we're going to see a lot of magazines name Fantasy the best album of the year.

I would rank Age Of Adz higher once Sufjan Stevens takes action on his "accidental" preachiness: just come out of the closet and call yourself a Christian or stop preaching and keep it a private conversation as you intended.

Also, where's all the love for Janelle Monáe, Caribou, and Flying Lotus?

    C'mon, bros.

I saw it on another blog, Brooklyn Vegan: I'm kind of surprised no one else is even talking about this; then again, who else even cares about YLT on this forum?

    Someone's gotta be recording, right?

  6. I watch Burn Notice sometimes. I really liked Jeffrey Donovan's acting on Touching Evil, but the show did not last long.

Last night, I caught some of Lennon Naked on PBS. I thought it was terrible.

Jeffrey Donovan isn't really an actor: there's as much acting in him as there is orange juice in Sunny Delight. Burn Notice is entertaining to watch due to the amount of detail and logic placed into the show. However, I wouldn't watch it for character development and arcs.

  7. Fringe is one of the best shows on TV.

I think that's a little too far. I thought they kind of dragged the end of the first season and the beginning of the second season. But season 3 has moved along very well and the parallels have worked out wonderfully.

I'm disappointed that Lonestar and Caprica got the boot.

The actress who plays Clarice on Caprica, she is just amazing when she says, "I just want to have a talk with her."

This House season has disappointed me. Not only did Fox advertise it like Grey's Anatomy and killed its ratings, the writing has fallen off the compass. There's still a few great moments like when Amber Tamblyn asks if Hugh Laruie believes in himself. Most of the cases were getting bad by the 5th season, but now they're getting much worse.

The other shows I'm still watching like Community, Burn Notice, and Venture Brothers are doing pretty damn well.

  8. I would call them during the DDR marathons and ask them to stop, if it was past 1am or so. If they didn't, then the next morning I would call them at 6am or so, when I was getting up, and ask them how they liked it. If I was particularly pissy, I'd call before AND after my shower.

ETA: They were total gems. They left their TV/DVD on one day with the Lion King in the player, on menu. Did the same thing with Law & Order SVU once. In both instances, twenty seconds of the opening song, overandoverandover again. They were friends with the girls in the room next to me too, and would sing musicals well after 2am.

Unfortunately, most DDR players (especially the competitive ones) are douchebags. Seriously, who buys SVU on DVD? What the hell? They better be watching that as a comedy and getting high.
