  1. This venue is sweet. Great sight lines, great acoustics, and a ton of space.

Very easy to get in so don't worry about that. There's a couple of big fields they'll direct you in for parking if I remember correctly. I think residents set up parking for a few bucks too.

Dinosaur BBQ before the show will make you happy.

Last time I went to a show there it went past 10:30pm so I don't the curfew is a huge deal.

Jelous of all you that are going. I'll be at Lollapalooza so I guess I'll be fine.

  4. Anytime I've told the border guards where I'm going they say "What's a Wilco?".

When I went to see Tweedy solo in March that's basically what happened.

    "Where are you going?"

    "Toronto for a concert."

    "Who are you seeing?"

    "Jeff Tweedy."

    "Who?"

"Jeff Tweedy. He's in a band called Wilco."

    "Who?"

"They're a popular rock band that started in the 90's."

    "Well, have fun I guess."

  5. Saw it live in Toronto as the opener, it's as outstanding live as it is studio. The hipster seems to respect it and most stayed quite through it. Although being the first song meant all those annoying late unprepared people rushing to there seats as if they had no idea they were coming on on :rolleyes Call me crazy but when I pay money for awesome seats to see my favorite band play, I'm making sure I'm in my seats in a timely fashion and not being a douche and cutting in front of people who are actually in their seats because they were smart enough to know that they should just chill in their seats for that very short break between Nick Lowe and Wilco.

You're telling me. Me and my friends had the aisle seats and I noticed the 4 seats next to me no one was sitting in throughout Nick Lowe's performance. I bet my friend $10 that they would come to their seats about 2 min into the 1st song. Lo and behold that's exactly what they did. (Then they left in the middle of another song, but thats another story)

I thought it was fantastic live. I still haven't noticed the "squawk" so I'm not sure if they played it. :)

  6. On the way back to the States after this show there was a pretty big line at customs, which I found strange at 1:30 am. Finally get up to the customs booth and the first thing the guy says "Coming back from the Wilco show?"

So looks like a lot of my fellow Buffaloians made the trip to see Wilco. Can we get a show around us now? :)

  7. Man, I really wasn't expecting One Sunday Morning coming out the gate. It was awesome though.

Still had the weird dynamic where the crowd sat for the first 3 songs despite you could see a lot of people wanting to stand. Halfway through IATTBYH most of us said screw it and stood up. I also had a chatty cathy behind me until Impossible Germany, but that was my only gripe.

Nels got a solid minute and a half long ovation after a killer Impossible Germany solo. Even Jeff and the band joined in.

Pot Kettle Black was cool because I requested it. Red Rising Lung was very good. I really dug that tune.

The crowd sang Jesus Etc. unlike night 1. Misundertood - Jesus Etc.- Monday - Outtasite - I'm A Wheel. Great encore.
