  1. My two cents...

    Good: Any Colour You Like,

Decent: Brain Damage/Eclipse, Speak to me/Breathe, Us and them, Great Gig in the Sky, On The Run

    Bad: Time

    Downright putrid: Money

Seems almost lazy or rushed. The "interview" parts with Rollins seem forced and cheesy. It seems to ignore the best parts of the album. Whether or not they did this on purpose to create their own sound it focuses almost on the weaknesses of the original. Point in case is on Us and Them and Money. Us and Them seems flat and unfinished almost. It completely ignores the best part of the song by ignoring the epic energy boosts of the original song. They basically cut out the middle parts on Money and Time. On Money they use a voice box which sounds awful. Then they continue on with pretty much a single basic riff and completely ignore the sax and guitar solo. Money was a pretty average song on the original IMO and the only thing that made the song good was the sax and guitar solo. How you can ignore that is beyond me. I don't even know what to say on Time. It's just not good until the Breathe reprise comes in. That was pretty cool.

The album also just doesn't have the flow to it. The transition between Brain Damage and Eclipse just isn't there which is a major flaw IMO.

They neglect that major parts of the album. I dont care that they re-did the songs their own way, but they just missed the point of the album. In short, they didn't spend enough time on the album as they should of and it shows.

  2. Wow, what a show. It was my first Wilco show so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away. I wish I could go deeper into detail but 2 days later I'm still at a loss of words. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

I'm hoping a boot shows up so I can relive the awesomeness. :thumbup

  3. 1. First Concert, when?

    Weird Al in 2000-2001

    2. First Concert you really wanted to go to and did?

Well I really wanted to see Weird Al but I was 10. So lets go with The Tragically Hip in 2007

    3. Favorite Band?

    The Tragically Hip

    4. How Many Times have you seen them?

6 times all over the place. Once in Lewiston, once in London Ontario, once in Pittsburgh, once in Chicago, and twice in Rochester

    5. Worst concert you attended?

I've seen a lot of free shitty concerts over the past few years. Hard to pick.

    6. Favorite?

Tragically Hip in Rochester over the summer. It was an outdoor show and it started pouring buckets. The energy in the crowd was great and Gord was loving the rain. Just a great show.

    7. Band you have seen the most?

    Tragically Hip

    8. How many times?

    6 times

    9. Furthest you drove for a concert? How far?

9 hours to Chicago to see them at The Vic. My buddy lives there for college so it was cheap. First row!

    10. Furthest locale from home you have seen a concert?

    Chicago Hip

    11. How many concerts have you seen?

25 or so. Free summer concert series in Buffalo mostly but I'm only 19 so that will grow.

    12. most you ever paid for a concert ticket?

70 bucks to see The Tragically Hip in Lewiston the first time. Almost topped that when I bought my Pittsburgh Wilco ticket off stubhub.

    13. Least amount of people at a concert by a major labeled artist.

I saw Silvertide? Silverstine? Something like that my buddy wanted to go see. There was like 30 people there at the Buffalo Icon.

    14. Band you want to see the most who you haven't seen?

Wilco. Will be seeing them in 2 weeks.

    15. Ever been backstage, on a tourbus..which?

    Nope

    16. Longest show by one artist you ever saw?

Hip play 2 and a half 3 hours usually.

    17. Shortest show by a headliner?

    Don't really know.

  4. Me too. I can't remember - have we seen them before? I can't remember. That was all very new to me but I can't remember if I'm forgetting a past storyline.

No I believe those two are new.

Although I do recall Tuco saying something about 2 cousins coming up before Hank killed him.

  5. I didn't feel like it was just a wrap up episode. It set the ground work for this season's major storylines...

    1. Yes, we saw Walt's wife leave last season, but now she wants a divorce. Walt has now claimed he is out of the meth game to concentrate on his family life. Oh, and in the midst of discussing divorce, Walt confesses to her that he cooks meth. That's pretty huge.

    2. Despite wanting out of the meth cooking business, Walt is offered $3mil for 3 months of cooking for the chicken restaurant manager guy. An offer he may have refused up front, but surely has to be pretty tempting.

    3. Jesse is out of rehab, but not in good shape. He has vowed not to use, but yet blames himself for the death of not only his girlfriend, but 167 innocent people from the plane collision. He is told of self-acceptance in rehab, but he interprets this to mean he should accept that he's the "bad guy" in life. Sounds like a recipe for self-destruction. Or maybe the destruction of anything near him. Perhaps the destruction of his partner, Walt.

    4. Some pretty ruthless Mexican gangsters are in the US looking for Walt. They know who he is and what he looks like. Oh, and they'll apparently do just about anything to get to him, like kill a truck load of their fellow Mexicans. And abandon a Mercedes!

Wrap-up was a bad word to use. Setting the ground work for new story lines is better. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Walt, Jesse, and Saul back in the meth game. Also wanna see whats up with those 2 mexican dudes.

  6. I'm a teenager and a bunch of my friends enjoy Wilco... but I can see where they are coming from. The stereotypical teenager listens to rap/pop music all the time and are not too receptive of the mid-tempo rock.
