  1. as a taper and someone who generaly goes to shows for the music. The ones that laugh and encourage shout outs can at times be more annoying then the ones that do the shouting out. :dontgetit

    Bus to catch? :ohwell

1.) I think everyone goes for the music but 99% of the shout outs and laughs came between songs so who cares? I think the give and take between Jeff (or any singer for that matter) and the crowd makes the show more fun as long as it isn't over the top annoying. The only dude that was a little annoying was the dude in the front that kept shouting "Crank it to 11" or whatever. But from my vantage point he only did that between songs.

2.) Had to drive back to Buffalo. Had class at 8am.

  2.

the opening act Snowblink was really good. Folks - don't show up late! Go see them! They have some magic in their band.

I thought they were awful. I'd suggest hanging out in the lobby and drinking until Jeff comes on.

I agree it felt really short, but that was my only real complaint. First time seeing Jeff solo and it was awesome.

I thought the crowd was cool. I enjoy the people who yell out things because it gets Jeff going. I was laughing my ass off at times.

I did have a pack of about 5 hipsters in front of me. 3 were 2 rows ahead and 2 were 1 row ahead and a few seats down. Those 2 that sat together got up 5 times during the show. 5! They didn't even have the decency to wait between songs. Then during the encore they joined the other 3 and were standing in the aisles acting like jackasses. So annoying.

I missed Acuff-Rose :( The lights around me came on and I figured it was over.

  3. I'm thinking of selling my 2x in Toronto, which are Orchestra row Q. My recent impulsiveness with concert tickets (Pixies, Black Angels, Crystal Castles, Solid Sound) is putting a dent in my credit card and and I'll be seeing the Wilco gang at Mass MoCA anyways.

I'm going to sleep on it but I would assume there will be some folks interested here so I'll advise when I know and will let them go at face

    I'd be more than interested.

  4. Anyone else think this is crazy? I just checked the Iowa city show and there were still tickets in the first 15 rows available. I am really surprised these haven't sold out already. Maybe the presales were not heavily advertised. I suppose it is good and bad. Good for people wanting tickets.

Can still get 2 tickets to Montreal. I'm bummed Toronto sold out so quickly. Woke up a half hour late and they were already gone :(

I'm cool with driving 2.5 hours to Toronto but I can't do 7 to Montreal. I'll have to pray I can tickets through Tickermaster which is always a pain...

  5. I saw this show at his first night in Boston. I was blown away. Just like the 2 other times i've seen him.

My only gripes with the show were the fact that it just wasnt loud enough. I was sort of strained to hear a lot of the music over the sound effects.

also, his drummer. From drummer to drummer... he is wayyyyyyy too busy with his playing.

The Buffalo show was pretty loud. It was the best concert I've ever seen in a land slide. What an epic night. Roger sounded pretty good and the other guy he had singing Gilmour's parts sounded great. The whole band sounded AWESOME. What a spectacle.

  6. To get back on the subject... I just got back from night 3 and that was an absolutely unbelievable show. Last night I went to see Tallest Man on Earth, which is a guy and a guitar, and tonight was THIS.

I must say at this point in my life I like the guy and the guitar more, but I definitely enjoy a huge production every now and then.

I'm going tonight. I'm so excited. :dancing

  7. Deeper Down is my least favorite Wilco track, from any album. For the past two shows that i've attended it has been used as a bathroom break, much in the way Outlaw Pete is used in a similar fashion at Springsteen shows. It's a complete buzzkill, stopping any positive momentum in its tracks.

My concert mates and i often ask, "why do Wilco love that song so much"? We've always been baffled. It didnt really accur to me until today that people liked it. Its cool if you do, i'm not going to tell you not to. But for me, it just puts the breaks on all the good vibes Wilco throws out there. Too slow, combined with too bland.

    That about sums it up.
