Just listening to the Jerry and John Kahn at Oregon State Prison, anyone know the story behind that? Did they just do the Johnny Cash book a gig at a Prison, or where they incarcerated?
-
PM me please! Will purchase vinyl release
-
Yeah, nothing to special about this release, I for one am looking forward to a new bootleg series, how about a concert from the gospel years!
-
I once had an aunt (she was actually a cousin) whom we referred to as aunt lil (short for lillian)
that's all I've got
I have an Uncle Aunt, Aunt short for Anthony, but was always called Aunt, so when he became an Unlce, he became Uncle Aunt naturally, beat that.

I had forgotten all about Adam Katz story, I remember it well, my parents would bring it up to dissuade me from disappearing for a few days of show going.
-
Just listened to most of Anthem of the Sun for the first time in years, I guess it can be sorta mindblowing if your in the mood for it, but ended up putting on my vinyl copy of Jerry Garcia 'Reflections'.

It's airing tonight in the philly area on WHYY, 11pm! Me, my recliner, and a big can of miller lite!
-
Gotta a perfet vinyl copy of Steal your Face yesterday for 2 bucks! I know it's not the most loved Live dead record for sound quality, sounds good enough to me though, great set of tunes too!
-
Glad we could help with that.
Yeah, wow! thanks for all the inspiring photos. Maybe, not exactly what I had in mind, thought The Carrie Cake was cool though.
-
Yes. Nettles, you should get in touch with kidsmoke. That girl has an archive of cakes that is just astonishing.
Excellent, sounds like I may have dug for gold in the right place then. Thanks!

Need pictures of birthday cakes, people eating birthday cake, blowing out candles, sing the tune, etc. Sillier the better, If you'd like to share, please PM me.
Thanks!

Let me share with you my great I-tunes disaster of 06, Upgraded my I-tunes to the latest version after numerous prompting, and it wiped out 2/3 of I-tunes library, never to be seen or found again! I still use I-tunes, though extremely cautiously.

Don't know why I always believed that there was there first, maybe just thought it was because It was the first one I ever had. Yeah, I usually don't like bands cover versions of great songs, but they did it with alot of charm.
-
Never picked that one up, bold album title though
-
I've always dug YLT, but there records have never hold up for me on repeated listen with the exception of there first Fakebook.

Me and a friend lost our ride back at RFK stadium and had to hitchhike home to jersey, it was pretty easy though the next show was at the meadowlands, but he was all freaked out because we had just graduated high school and his parents where throwing him a huge graduation party the next day, we didn't get back til about 9am and needless to say pretty banged up, his folks was pisssssed!
-
A great artist and spirit no doubt about it, I expect to be a fan of his music for life. Also can't believe it's been 5 years, good lord.

The first three Richard & Linda Thompson albums were reissued in the UK a couple of years ago on cd, so they are easy to find on amazon even in the USA, or do you mean on vinyl? The remastering on them is really good, too.
I was looking for the vinyl, but should probably just pick up the disc. Thanks for the info!

Love RT, Great songwriter, bitching guitar player! Shoot out the Bright lights is a classic, 'Just the motion' can make me a proud man cry.
I've been trying to find a copy of 'Pour down like silver', to no avail, but it's on my list of must get albums.
