Saturday night at the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw was great! I had never seen them before and they played a few UT songs!

Has anyone noticed that if you click on the sun (yellow dot) at the bottom of the page on the Solid Sound website it takes you to a full Wilco concert? I'll need to check that out when I get home. Sorry if it's been brought up already. I just saw it.

I kind of giggled when I realized where I knew the name from. Who knows...maybe he'll blow my doors off. We'll see.

I hope they're not frustrated when someone comes along and tosses the blanket aside if they're not standing on it. I won't be doing that but I'm sure others might.

If it's restricted between the stage and soundboard area then it's not allowed. It didn't say restricted to, just restricted. I'm sure it means that's standing room only.

I was hoping for a Jeff Tweedy solo set since I've never seen one...I was thinking that would be Sunday if at all. Not bummed but was still hoping for one. Oh well. Maybe one day.

I really hope this one happens. I'm missing them in Raleigh because they play the night after Flaming Lips play and the misses won't give me a second hall pass in one weekend...Their new release is great (as they always are).

We wanted (and tried) to stay in town but ended up staying about 30-45 minutes away in Vermont. Not complaining though! I'd probably camp if I wasn't coming with my wife. Staying on site sounds like it would be fun.

I was on the Solid Sound site and it went straight to EventBrite. Tickets are already in my inbox. Now I can relax and just wait on the lineup. As far as it going late on Sunday...I think I saw a list of tour dates that had Wilco playing the Sunday of SS17. I dismissed it just thinking it was a typo. Not sure anymore.

Just got mine! $295.70 isn't bad for 2 tickets!

Well...The Ritz would sell out pretty quick so it would over 2000 but I'd side with you on the less than 4000 side. I can't use the show that I saw as an accurate assessment since the show was free. I'm an idiot. You're talking about something different. Not the Lord Huron draw. Whoops.

The last time I saw Lord Huron it was at Red Hat in Raleigh. It's a 6000 seat venue and it was packed BUT it was a free show so it brought out a lot of people who normally wouldn't have been there. If they played a normal date in Raleigh it would probably have gone to the Ritz which is about 2000. So you're probably right.

They're probably sniffing it. Not much more than that though...

What bands do you think are "too big" for Solid Sound? In my mind I have already dismissed Lord Huron because of crowd size when I've seen them play before. Who do you think is not worth getting hopes up for?

In the past how hard has it been to get tickets? I know for a normal show you pretty much have to get them within the first few minutes or they're gone. Since this is a three day event and not everyone can do that I figure it won't be nearly as bad. Regardless, I'm getting mine right at 10, or at least I hope to. I'm trying at least!

Awesome! Thanks for the info. While getting it almost had a heart attack because "Buy Tickets" was next to Solid Sound and I thought they were already on sale. They're obviously not yet.

I got the Los Angeles bundle. Couldn't pass it up for the price. So far it's great.

My wife and I are staying in Vermont. I think about 30-45 minutes away. AirBnB is what we used. There's still some stuff available but as summerdai already said the prices are inflated. It'll be worth it though. This is a once in a lifetime thing for me.
