  1. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Can't until tomorrow evening.
  2. Has anyone figured out how / if you can download it if you've purchased it? I've purchased it and I can see it in the VOD section but I can't figure out how / if I can download it. While 99.9% of the time I'll just stream it to my TV, I want a copy to archive in case Vimeo ever removes it. I've seen purchases disappear in other media and don't want to see this happen with this since I don't have a physical DVD / Blu-Ray.
  3. I am so thankful for the people who have posted their thoughts on the evening. Although I did not get drunk I probably had one more beer than I normally do and couldn't remember all the songs Jeff performed. It was a fascinating evening and I'm so glad I was lucky enough to attend. I was talking with someone who had been to a few of the previous ones and she said that sometimes they are over at around 9:30 so this one went a little longer it seems. Nice that Jeff took his time. I didn't get the impression that the artist performed at all of them.
  4. Wow! That's great news! I wonder if it will be short by Wilco standards, which could be 5-7 songs...
  5. Looks like more tickets were released. I wish I had been patient as I'd love to have taken my wife. Oh well, since I got a single it's up a bit closer...
  6. Has anyone ever been to one of these before? http://www.carolinatheatre.org/events/film-acoustic-jeff-tweedy-wilco In the past they've had Wayne Coyne and Frank Black, among others. They introduce the film and then discuss after it's over. I'm not expecting any performances at all but if someone has been to previous ones and can offer any more info that would be great! Regardless, I'm looking forward to it. Tickets went on sale yesterday and I just found out about it today.Couldn't get two seats together. I was able to get one. Hope the wife isn't pissed...
  7. Like the person above said before, being in Raleigh is nice when new music is released. The Whole Love, Tweedy and now AMF. Haven't heard a lot of this and it's great!
  8. 7 song soundcheck! If you looked through the trees you probably got to see it too! Nice! I've only been able to hear them do one soundcheck before. It was in Charlottesville last year (or was it the year before?). Just two songs. It was really fun but short. 7 songs is almost like a tiny show in itself.
  9. Also, the venue running out of beer by Handshake Drugs. Glad I got a few before the show started. Had to make them last. Did anyone see the bats swooping around the ceiling / front of the stage?
  10. Beer can throwing AND a firework display during Jesus, etc!
  11. Wow! This is my favorite setlist of all 3 so far! I had a friend or two at that show (should have been more but the ones who missed it were too tired from driving in from DC after seeing Slowdive. Their loss. I would have done both, even after a 7 hour drive back home).I am absolutely stoked about tomorrow's show in Raleigh. I don't care about the (second to) last night of the state fair, the wedding party at the museum, crazy traffic expected. I just want to get my bag of tacos from Chubby's (right up the road for anyone needing sweet sweet tacos before the show), and to get in the venue. I l
  12. Man, I still haven't seen them play New Madrid live yet...Hoping that the upcoming show in Raleigh fixes that.
  13. I'm local. Unfortunately there's no real side streets that I'm aware of to avoid the traffic. Hopefully it won't be that bad getting in. Since it's a Saturday the only place I have to be that day is in the venue before the band comes on stage so we're probably going to get there a little early. The State Fair is close enough to cause traffic problems BUT if you get there early enough you won't have a problem. Leaving might be another issue...But that's Future Shawn's problem and it'll be after a Wilco show so I'll be in a good mood.
  14. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that had issues yesterday. I was logged in 15 minutes prior to tickets going on sale for the Raleigh show. Hitting F5 every few minutes until it was 10 just to make sure. I was able to select reserved seats. I was able to select 2 but when it finished searching it said none were available. For all 3 sections. I did end up with GA seats so all is well that ends well. I'm in the venue. Still...I would have rather had reserved. I've only seen They Might Be Giants at this venue before but from what I remember it's not big so even the last seat on the lawn should be g
  15. Hopscotch is also September 4th-7th. Right down the road in Raleigh. They were booked a few years ago (if what I've heard is true) but had to back out and The Flaming Lips replaced them. I wonder if they'll play this festival one night and come down and headline Friday or Saturday night in Raleigh. Great festival...first 120 acts are going to be announced next week.
  16. I'd really love to but it's hard to put two kids down to bed (4 years and 4 months) alone. My wife would be the one doing both. It's an early show (right at their bedtime) but if I left right when they were asleep I'd be about an hour late already...I've already emailed Yep Roc back to take me off the list in case they can give it to someone else on short notice. I didn't want to hold a spot on the list if someone else could make it. I'd LOVE to make it. It's in on a smaller stage of an already small club. I can't imagine it would hold more than 200 people. I'm jealous of those who get to see
  17. I think that's what will happen. The misses isn't giving me the hall pass to go. Oh well. Maybe next time. I'd love to be able to make it though...
  18. Anyone know about this? Have not heard a peep about it other than an email I got from Yep Roc Records. WUNC presents a special interview and performance by The Autumn Defense. The band's songwriters Pat Sansone and John Stirratt (who also play in Wilco) will be interviewed by Eric Hodge, host of Morning Edition and Last Motel on WUNC-FM You had to RSVP in time by replying to the email they sent out. I got in but I'm not sure if I'll be able to go. My wife would have to but both kids (4 months and 4 years) to bed by herself and that's a chore. Wondering what it'll be like though... How a
  19. Hoping for a Southeast (Raleigh / Durham) show announced after the new year. After I moved out here from Texas Jeff played a museum here in Raleigh within the first 2-3 months. I never knew it was happening...I tell my wife I'd kill a hobo if it would allow me to travel back in time to see that show (try not to think about how killing a hobo would alter time/space. I haven't worked it out yet but if it could I would consider it). I stand by my statement.
  20. Thank you so much, danlynch! Downloading now. Somehow I missed Surrender when I first saw the set list! Such an awesome show!
  21. This sounds like a really amazing show. Seen them many times and can't imagine anything like this. I really hope this is made available via Roadcase or someone else. I have to hear this. Specifically Roadrunner.
