Can't they just release the 25 track version now?
No man, then we'd have no demos to look forward too later and talk about here
I'm looking forward to this album...whenever it comes out.

I mean sure it's copyright infringement, but if I was Hanson or the Offspring I would be glad someone is still interested in listening to my music

Hmmm not the best comparison by any means because they are completley different bands I have seen Wilco 9 times and They Might Be Giants about 15 (Over a 10 year period). Between these shows I heard roughly about 50 different Wilco songs and with TMBG I heard about 200+! Look Wilco has less albums but you get my point. When you just don't know what to expect and it keeps it more exciting. Wilco are a great band and put on an awesome show no matter what but it would be even better if they throw a few more old gems into the show. I have heard at the last 5 Wilco shows everytime (iattbyh, shot in the arm, jesus, heavy metal, im the man, california stars, theologians, im always in love, hummingbird, altwys, handshake drug) Thats half a show with no changes! Heck even if they played wishful thinking more oftent I would be thrilled!
But on another note when Tweedy is solo he mixes it up to perfection! I WANT MORE SOLO SHOWS JEFF! Keep em coming!
Thanks!
I'm confused, I didn't even make reference to They Might Be Giants or any other bands in my original post...but I do agree with you that it would be awesome if they threw in some more old gems, because that always makes shows exciting.

I've seen Wilco once, Tweedy once, both times I was enthralled. I would love to see Wilco again, and would be happy with whatever they played. Even if it was an exact repeat of the show I saw. Maybe it's just because I don't really collect any Wilco live shows, but I don't think I would be disappointed with a particular set list, maybe I would if I regularly went to shows or downloaded them. I think it's awesome when they toss in more rarely played songs, but having a really solid core of sweet songs makes for a great show...at least in my eyes.

I think that Jazzmaster may be in fact a Jagmaster. Are those tone switches above the strings?
Those are pickup selector switches, but that's standard Jazzmaster setup. The Jagmaster doesn't have those, and it's got different pickups, but similar body shape. You might be thinking of the Jaguar, that has a bunch of tone/pickup switches all over the body, but it's got thinner pickups.
Personally I
Jazzmasters, I would love love love to own one at some point. But I am no where near affording that now.

Exactly.

"With the sax, I learned technique well enough so that it feels like part of my body and I just express myself," he said. "That's where I want to get in golf."
Hopefully he'll give up torturing people with the sax then and just work on his game.

I voted for the encore, but with the caveat that it has to be preceded by "Poor Places."
Spiders rules, especially live, but I'm still a big fan of the album version.

That's because I call 89.3 The Current at 11:00 p.m. everyday and request Wilco. Hah! I don't even live in Minnesota right now (I'm in school in Madison, Wisc.) but that is the best radio station in the world and I still call to make requests. It's no. 5 on my speed dial.
Yeah, the Current rules! I listen to them occasionally online, but I haven't called in a request

Wow, just wow.

Oh, it's been BOUGHTEN.
Not if you're me, in which case it is yet to be boughten.

Cool. And are these availble anywhere?
And why am I a Cherry Ghost?
I'm a little bothered by that.
I'd poke around youtube, or maybe yahoo's launch, I remember seeing the videos there a while ago.
Cherry Ghost is just the first member title, don't worry about it

Okay, I've been a Wilco fan for a while. I didn't care for AM, but I discovered Being There at a public library and thought I'd give them a second chance, I'm digressing, the point is, I don't know that I've ever heard them on the radio or seen a video, a la the MTV kind...
My question is, do you hear Wilco on the radio where you live and have they ever made conventional videos?
When I'm in Minnesota I hear them occassionally on 89.3 the Current, and I've heard them on a couple of other commercial radio stations, but mostly college stations. They do have one "conventional" video for Outtasite (Outtamind), of them skydiving, but other than that, not really. I could be wrong but I think the band just kind of decided not to do music videos.

I wouldn't be surprised if he just released it over there. either way, I'll be getting it. I've been waiting a long time for a new Jim solo album.
Yeah, based on a fair number of his other releases I wouldn't be surprised either, I think I'll also probably pick this up...I haven't been disappointed with anything I've bought by him so far.

Except for the whole Japanese import thing, wonder if this will see a US release? And/or what kind of Jim O'Rourke release this is.
