  1. I know who twoshedsjackson insulted!..Me....Hi twosheds I am a conservative and your discription really doesn't apply to me and kind a reveals more about you than how much you think you know about Conservatives...but I digress, you like Wilco you are cool with me. Trump is an thin skinned opportunist and I will sit this one out if he is the nominee...he is by nature repugnant and offensive even if he stumbles on something occasionally that might have merit.

  2. Great show...was nice having to only drive an hour and a half. My daughter and I got to see our fourth show together, it's a very cool thing to share Wilco with your kid. I have seen Wilco probably ten times and never at a venue with out alcohol... I think it added to a more subdued and respectful audience though for whatever reason I always end up with talkers behind me. They didn't affect the Wilco portion but ruined the opener for us. A great show!

  3. I enjoyed the show thoroughly with my daughter. What an awesome venue. We were in the first balcony and it felt a little detached but on the positive the seats were great. My only complaint was the people who talked constantly during the show especially during the opener. I value my concert experience and people who don't respect the people around them and especially the artists just rock me off. If they would have been talking about the music I would have accepted it but it was a get to know each other date....next time go to Applebees. Can't wait for the Ryman shows.

  4. It is my default piss break song during Wilco shows. Everyone else seems to love it, so the bathroom lines are short...and I don't really miss anything, because when I get back to my seat the song is still going on.

If they never played it again that wouldn't bother me a bit...unless, of course, I had to take a whiz. Not sure when I'd go...

Umm all Wilco songs are potential piss breaks songs.... nothing about the songs themselves but my aging prostate... wearing depends at a show might be the answer since I dont want to miss anything... and sorry I love Impossible Germany... its a soaring beautiful anthem

  5. I met all of em except Jeff in Nashville last year ....they were all so humble and cool ...the 2 things I remember that stood out were Nels Talking about playing Duane Allmans Guitar and saying how he had tears in his eyes playing it.... and talking with Glenn I commented that I saw Autumn Defense the night before in this little bar in Nashville and I said how cool it was to have seen him sit in with Pat and John .. all Glenn just said how nervous he was .. which as talented as he is just dumbfounded me

  6. Agreed Crow .. both times I have heard it live were highlights for me

I'm not really surprised, but a little disappointed that One Sunday Morning has all but disappeared from the setlists.

While this is a truly wonderful song and was one of the highlights of the show I can see how it doesn't work in a live setting. When played with Poor Places and Art of Almost, it is dramatic and offers a definite emotional statement of purpose.

Set opener or encore showcase, it seems to simply be too emotional and quiet to really work without certain contextural accomodations.

  7. First ones bought for me- "The Monkees Greatest Hits" & "Headquarters" by The Monkees...from my mom- we went to W.T. Grant's to get them...it was '67, or '68...I was born in April 1964.

Then I was given "Rubber Soul" (U.S. version & I inherited the version my mom had bought for my cousins & left it at my grandma's so they had something to listen to at her house), & I spent my allowance savings on "Revolver" (U.S.), again in '67, or '68, just a couple of months after The Monkees albums...once again from W.T. Grants...

Monkees Headquarters was my first and I bought it at a WT Grant store too! Was about 10

  8. It's like having something signed by four of the starting five on the 1987 Lakers and it's missing Magic's signature. My HFD poster has four of the six, my MOCA poster was just signed by Mikael before I got the boot. I'd say tube it and bring it to another show and maybe you'll get lucky enough to get it signed. I know getting those two signatures on that poster is going to drive me insane.

Yea someday I will get Jeffs autograph to complete and then get it framed

  9. I have 1 for Rochester NY below face (how about 30 bucks)... I pinched a nerve in my neck when I was in Chicago for Geneva and have been in physical therapy ever since ... and the PT says I can only drive 30 minutes at a time and Rochester is 8 hours from me so the math (and my neck) doesnt work. Drop me a PM

  10. A Great Show. We drove down from Mid Michigan and got in line early and ended up roughly 3 rows back on Nels side. Took a bit of adjustment for my 17 year old daughter and I to relax and enjoy the show.

Just a few hints for concert goers:

1.Smoking is a tough habit and being cooped up for hours is along time to go with out a cig but at least dont blow smoke into peoples faces.

2.If you tall, I mean 6'6" dont feel the need to migrate looking for a better view... you already have a great view and now my 5'3" daughter doesnt. At least be aware of your surroundings and ask people that move in front of if you are blocking thier view.... for instance since I tower at 5'7" I would extend that courtesy to 3rd graders.

    3. If you are cute drunk girl in a sun dress do not assume your looks will allow you to run roughshod over people who showed up early to stake thier claim to their piece of land. I am sorry your rudeness brought forth a bit of my middle aged wrath. Your paprents aparently had no luck in teaching you about interpersonal relations so I felt it was my duty to help you with anthough lesson .. consider it tough love.

The show truly was a great show that gave me such hope for music and for most of humanity.

Thanks Kane County Cougars and Wilco for doing this incredible event. I hope to someday be able to bring Wilco to play at the Minor League Stadium I work at.

  11. Because with even as few as three key strokes - IMO- you can indicate to others that you are not invalidating the opinion of everyone who disagrees with you. And that in turn creates a respectful environment as opposed to one where people are less interested in discussion and more interested in being correct and "winning". In my view, its just being polite and it makes message boards far more pleasant places to hang out. I get that others may not care about that.

    Yup agreed

  12. This will sound condescending to most, but anyone who says that even the worst Wilco albums are still great needs to listen to a lot more music.

So what you are saying is ... "if your tastes dont align with mine its obvious you are lacking in musical experience and judgment" So the more I think about your statement I will have to agree with with you that "most will find this sounds condencending"

  13. This will sound condescending to most, but anyone who says that even the worst Wilco albums are still great needs to listen to a lot more music.

Well what it sounds like is somebody who doesnt know me (or others) thinks they know my musical cred ....

  14. I am of the "all Wilco albums are great some are just greater" Each album has some weaker songs or songs that dont resonate with me. I like a bunch of the stuff on WTA and there are several songs I dislike .. anyway would love to hear One Wing when I am in Chicago .. think I will request it now.
