  1. As the Kop song goes:- "He's big, He's Red, His feet stick out the bed, Peter Crouch, Peter Crouch"
  2. I loved Pandora until it became a banned site at work after about a week. I think they have a special watch on my PC now
  3. I love that song, and the story that goes with it from WWII - Brits in the desert hearing it the original German version (probably not Dietrich as she was a prominent anti-Nazi in exile, but maybe, I'm not sure) on German radio and tuning into the sentiment and adopting it themselves. I like the German version better than the English. Same with Silent Night.
  5. Reads fine to me. Good luck! Edit: "They would have been better paying" - They would have been better off paying or - They would have done better paying ??
  6. I've just been given some indication from the Corn Exchange Box Office that I was successful. Hurrah! I was beginning to wonder if I should have given you the money last Thursday if you were going to queue. Listened to the mix yet? I'll check the train / B&B situation tomorrow.
  7. If the pictures are just on your hard drive, AND you are a paid up gold member, then you should have an option to add 'File Attachments' that will upload pictures onto VC - showing them as a thumbnail in the post that can be clicked on to display full size. Otherwise you'll have to go down the route of getting them hosted somewhere on the web and then linking to them.
  8. I have been indifferent to BS for a while, but it's good to hear that this recent transformation is capable of delivering meaningful and emotional performances. Was this in a big arena venue or something more condusive?
  9. Err, how to put this without causing offence Does the vocal stylings of the S'&'S House Choir mean that this has a 'you had to be there' quality about it? Whilst I'm sure the ladies were singing like angels, I'm worried about a Stardog falsetto.
  10. Wow! They reserved that many tickets for locals? Given that it doesn't appear to be tha largest of sites (any idea on the numbers?) I'm wondering how I will have fared. My ticket application must have been there on time, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for an email notification today or tomorrow.
  11. UK reception committee: Alert Status Amber!
  12. A review of the smaller London show in February (compare and contrast for your CD Times one Rich) http://www.musicomh.com/gigs2/jenny-lewis-...-twins_0206.htm
  13. Oh yes. One of the'new songs' and quite possibly my favourite of the night too. Muller: I am led to believe that The Album show on E4 late tonight has a Jenny Watson live song performance if that is any comfort. Also, I think they have recorded a Later with JH spot. She did mention being there with Eddie Vedder. I thought this was from some time ago, but what do I see for the new series of Later (and rumoured elsewhere on the net):- Friday 5th May, BBC2, 11.35pm Pearl Jam, Corinne Bailey Rae and The Zutons are among the acts appearing on the first show of the new series. More details will
  14. Also. I have just remembered what the whoo-oooo bit from the 'days of the week song' reminded me of:- Spanish Stroll by Mink Deville. A nice one hit wonder here.
  15. Hoping something even better will come up. With pleasure Jenny Lewis stand up comedy routine report: 50% (1) So, this dyslexic walks into a bra ... (2) Too bad to bother repeating.
  16. Muller: It was rubbish (if that makes it easier to miss). Everyone else: It was fantastic. It's been a while since I have been to a show where I didn't already have an emotional connection with an artist and their music i.e. I don't go to that many shows. I really like her latest album (possibly the only album released this year I've yet bought if I remember - though Emmylou is on order), but that 'link' was not in place. That changed last night. A great show. Nice variation in pace during the set. High energy at times without needing to be over loud (all other performers please note! - so
  17. I can't see photobucket at work, so I'm guessing that it's either our wonderful flag, or an inflatable sheep. (Has he really got some Welsh inside him?)
  18. Oh yeah - that too: it changes as the psot count grows, plus some people have nicknames set by the Admins.
  19. I did remember what you said about Here I Am. It was a hard job, but that's what grabbed me when skimming last night. Also, Rich (W), if you see Cerys on the Saturday ask her if she's sticking around to watch Emmylou the next day (who wouldn't). We should do an imprompu Calon Lan or something.
