Looks like a photo from that time. Absolutely no pocket billiards, though John has to stop himself.

Quite a few Wilco (and some Finom) videos from Japan

One thing I've often wondered. Do people in Sydney just call it 'the Harbour Bridge'?
Also, heard this by accident on the radio for the second time when it was repeated recently. Someone has recorded it. There is an Australian connection so thought I'd post it here. Ray Davies performs and co-wrote it.

Wilco's Jeff Tweedy joined Cheryl Pawelski for a conversation moderated by Justin Roberts at the Rhapsody Theater in Chicago on February 27—an Up Close & Personal session of the Recording Academy's Midwest Chapter celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the band's groundbreaking album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

Unfortunately I’m not able to be in Japan for Wilco’s once-in-a-decade run of shows

Don't remember seeing this before myself or here. Some interesting photos even if you want to pass on the book interview from a few months ago.

Today the news came through about Barry. If J.P.R. was all about bravery and the heart in rugby, Barry was about the grace and poetry. The George Best and Johan Cruyff of rugby all in one.
One of those select few sportsmen who are are just beautiful to watch - Nureyev with a rugby ball. And the incredible thing is that he walked away from the game at the age of 27 as the adoration in Wales got too much in affecting the life of what was then still a completely amateur sportsman.
As the Max Boyce song says:
I entered through the heavenly gate; I heard the heavenly band
And there was John the Baptist at Barry John's right hand
He plays for Heaven Welsh Fifteen. They're very fit and keen
We'd play the Heaven English if they could only raise a team.

Finally twigged what it reminded me of - Custers Last Stand, interpreted through the medium of dance.

She really has some fine videos too. And a great sense of humour from what I can tell.

Probably my favorite concert movie. Have watched it dozens of times. Perhaps you are just not into the Band and the other performers?
Yeah - I like the roots country movement, and their classic songs, but wouldn't say I was a fan of theirs particularly - though I respect them of course. I suppose I was just expecting more on the cinematic side. It was just a bit of a dull watch from that point of view - especially given the director. I did enjoy that Once Were Brothers documentary a few years ago.

CMAT has appeared on my radar. Saw her/them on Later with Jools and the song she did there didn't immediately grab me, but this other song is an absolute belter - especially from the 2:00 mark. No auto-tuned warbling here. So I wouldn't call myself a fan yet but someone I am trying to keep tabs on. Apparently live shows are truly excellent.

By accident came across The Last Waltz the other day that I could see. I did wonder what all the fuss about that film was about actually. Good performance but ... Just saying.
I did like the way they came across in the interview segments. Highlight for me was Emmylou - but disappointed that both her and Mavis's songs were recorded in a back lot studio.
I did very much like the solo album that had Broken Arrow on it. Very atmospheric. I have that (and no The Band albums).

If you search 'Colour Me Pop 'in YouTube you can find quite a few performances from that 60s BBC programme
This is one of my favourites (though I'm not particularly a Moody Blues fan)
