I thought Built to Spill covering Muzzle of Bees sounded a little odd .
Anyway, thanks for the link. It's great .

I can't imagine anyone with a pulse not liking Hurricane. Damn song's been head for two weeks now.

I didn't get a chance to listen last night. A question for someone who was present? Did My Morning Jacket and The The Raconteurs play at the same time? If so that sort of sucks, but I definitely would go with MMJ.
Wasn't there, but they did play at the same time, which really does suck. I'm sure if I was there I would have chosen MMJ, but being home I was glad I got to see the Raconteurs for the first time. Man, they were excellent !!!
But what a power-packed hour this must've been:
At Dawn
Off the Record
What a Wonderful Man
Gideon
Anytime
Way That He Sings
Dondante
Golden
Wordless Chorus
One Big Holiday
Mahgeetah
Putting my Wilco obsession aside for a second, MMJ is the best live band I've seen in years .

Much props to these Blueroom guys. This is literally the first video webcast I've ever been able to play without either a billion interruptions or a complete inability to stream video. Good audio, good video. Thumbs up and looking forward to Wilco on the weekend.
Agree totally. Definitely psyched for tonight.
Raconteurs, Ryan Adams, Sleater-Kinney

It may be shit to you - but for normal americans, it was the shit! Plus, Pat Benatar has better makeup than that cretin from The Cure.
Seriously, outside of U2/The Police and some metal bands, I never listened to 80s music.
No Replacements ????

This webcast looks spectacular !!! Too bad I gotta shut it down soon and do some work. The Subways ain't half bad.

What a beautiful baseball day!!!
Yanks are rolling, Sox are struggling, and the Jays are done.
Great job by the Marlins, too. For all the Mets hoopla here in NY, the Yankees now have a better record playing a much tougher schedule. And the Marlins have the best record in baseball since their awful start.
-
That was always what kept him from being an ace down here.
Though if he pitches in the postseason (assuming you make it) like he did in 2003, that deal will be totally worth it. His performance in game 5 of the Cubs series was probably even more impressive than the clincher in Yankee Stadium, as it basically took all of the momentum out of the Cubs and put it in the Marlins hands.
Except that shutout was at home, and it was still the Cubs. Yankee Stadium is a whole different animal, and that was the best big-game pitching performance I've seen there in my adult life. Actually, both starts were pretty incredible.
That being said, he should be due for a nice blister one of these days.

Show last night was awesome!!!! Pirner and Murphy really seemed to be into it (despite the fact they were playing a tiny club in Seaside Heights, NJ), and Tommy Stinson and Michael Bland are awesome additions.
Would definitely recommend checking them out if they come to your area. Definitely brought back alot of memories.
Songs I recall:
Cartoon
Just Like Anyone
Closer to the Stars
Black Gold
Tied to the Tracks
Without a Trace
Runaway Train
Misery
Sometime to Return
Somebody to Shove
Summer of Drugs
lots of new ones (most sounded really good)
-
Even if they wanted to they'd be second in line to the Red Sox in a waiver claim as they are ahead of the Sox in winning percentage.
You can have him. As long at he can't pitch, I'm happy.
-
Victoria Williams, I believe.
-
To anyone that's seen them on this tour, have they played anything off of Hangtime (specifically Sometime to Return)? I'm thinking about checking them out tonight, but still not sure.
Alright, just dusted off Grave Dancers Union and I forgot how many great songs are on that record. That's it, I'm going (not that anyone cares). Talking to myself online helps me make decisions.

Question for bobbob...
Are there Dominican restaurants in Miami open past 2 am???
Apparently Chris "Mad Dog" Russo just feels like pissing Mets' fans off today by saying Duaner Sanchez has no business being out at that time.
-
I agree with this overall. I look at it as which player, if I had to choose one, would I most want in the batter's box with the game on the line.
And if your answer is anyone other than Ortiz (& maybe Pujols), you're just crazy.
-
It might, if fewer obscure stats are thrown around.
Amen
-
Apparently, ARod is doing better than Ortiz in the "clutch" categories.
A perfect example of how stats don't tell the whole story, even in baseball.
This guy has single-handedly won 12 games with his bat, no one else has done that. That's all that matters.

"The Sebadoh" is the only Sebadoh album I own. And it's one of my favorite albums ever.
Start working your way back and you will be amazed.

Isn't Roman Polanski a convicted statutory rapist?
-
Career over.
Why, because the Jews run everything?
His leading man days were over anyway, but as a director/producer? No way.
-
Wanted to see A Scanner Darkly last night at the cool "indie" theatre in the area, but unfortunately Woody Allen's "Scoop" had taken its place. Even Scarlett couldn't save this one. Boring and dumb.
-
Just realized the reason I'm worried about Sheff and Matsui is a condition I've developed called "Pavano Paranoia". What a waste he is.
-
The Yankee move was a no-brainer. I was just glad they didn't have to include Proctor in the deal. And who's to say that Matsui and/or Sheffield will be back as early as being reported (and if they'll be effective at all this year). Matsui's been an excellent player, but this is the first major injury he's ever had to come back from. Also, the Sheff/Yankee marriage hasn't exactly been a smooth one, and I think his days with the team are numbered

Thanks for the heads-up on the Wilco time change. I'm sure that most people on this board aren't going to miss them.
