My girlfriend had old episodes of 'How I Met Your Mother' playing in the background while she was working from home the other day, and out of nowhere, 15-20 seconds of Passenger Side begins to play during the scene transition. I've never cared for the show (and still don't) but upon further inspection, it turns out that they've had Wilco tracks dotted throughout the whole 8 or 9 seasons.

Hell yes - such a great record. Been playing it on and off all week. Not gotten used to the track names yet but I know that 4 and 6 are my favourites. Been waiting 3 years for some new Vampire Weekend material so this will have to do until then. The instrumentation is very similar to 'Modern Vampires', their last record.

This is the strangest incarnation of a Wilco tour I've seen. Static sets, minimal talking, etc. The band are sounding tight but there's still a way to showcase the hits and new material without this incredibly regimented set. Seeing them consecutive nights when they come to the UK in November - hoping for a few changes.

What's the deal with Wilco (The Album)?

Yeah, Capitol City is the 'Sonny Feeling' of TWL. Every album has one haha -
I think there's loads of continuity between Sukirae and Star Wars. The sound first of all struck me straight away. More and Taste The Ceiling could have been holdovers, and the personal lyrics of Where Do I Begin and Magnetized make Star Wars way more of a Jeff & co. album than a Wilco one in the same sense as The Whole Love.

What's the deal with Wilco (The Album)?

One Wing, Country Disappeared, Solitaire, and Everlasting Everything are some of my all-time favorite Wilco songs, and songs that I'd happily request at concerts rather than hearing I Got You for the 1000th time. Was listening to a concert where Jeff said Everlasting Everything was one of his favorite's and seemed sad that they never really play it. WTA just reminds me of having a good time in the summer, so I find it hard to treat the album harshly. But Sonny Feeling is probs the weakest Wilco track.
