  1. Those words moved me... "dude".

People who were concerned with laying blame only in the most politically expedient places (in the case of the Katrina response... letting the local officials off the hook entirely) were beyond contempt. But it was not surprising. Someday the sun will go supernova, and swallow the Earth. This, too will be George Bush's fault.

    Dude.

I guess I'm supposed to feel embarrassed/stupid for using the word "dude"?

Poortranslator and good ole Jnick said it perfectly, there's no way you can pile the blame on local officials, that's just idiotic. The National Guard, FEMA and other federal entities are in place to deal with disasters/emergencies that occur not only on a national scale (such as Katrina) but when the situation at hand overwhelms the capabilities of local officials.

  2. Some people are more concerned with scoring political points immediately following natural disasters. They are called: "douche bags". If you live a sheltered "it won't happen to me" life... I guess you can call them "heroes".

What do I know? I voted for George Bush twice. :usa Back to trolling.

Most people weren't concerned with scoring political points, they were just calling out FEMA/the govt for the bullshit job they did. But if that makes them douchebags then sure dude. What do you know though, you voted for Bush...twice.

  3. i like these. They have replaceable little rubber buds in different sizes. I like the small size.

    Sony EarBuds

I also have used these Sony ones for a few years, I love them because they sound great and they are nice and tiny. The only issue I've had is that the rubber bud can pop off sometimes, for instance if the wire gets caught on something. I lost one once, and had to buy a new pair :ohwell , but I stuck with the same brand.

I just got back from a "secret" free BSS show at TT the Bear's in Cambridge, MA. TTs is about the size of my living room and as anyone who has seen BSS knows, Kevin and the gang put on an amazing show and they brought it tonight. The band was Kevin, Justin, Brendan, Andrew Kenney from AmAnSet, Sam Goldberg from Uncut, and a guitarist that used to jam with Brendan and Kevin on early BSS material. Anyway, they played most of Spirit If and threw in some BSS rockers. Great band, great energy, I couldn't ask for anything more, they poured their hearts out on stage for us.

Kevin gave everyone high fives at 1pm for waiting in line for wristbands to get in, and after meeting Brendan several times I can say he is one of the nicest guys in music. We got to hear a song he recently wrote for his BSS Presents album and it rocked, stood up to any of the Spirit If material.

Goddammit I freakin love Kevin Drew and BSS.

  5. Holy shit...I heard this song last Saturday at the Download Festival, it knocked me off my socks and has been in my head ever since. I was just singing it to myself today, wondering when I could hear it again. Thank you for this!!!

  6. I have this album. It came with a sticker and they look really goofy in the promo pics. Will is the only original member left in the band I think.

Jonathan Meiburg came on after Stars Too Small to Use and has been around ever since, but yeah I think the other current members didn't fall into place until BSB.

  7. I know if I was poor and I could travel 50 miles away and enjoy much greater quality of life, ensure my kids can get better education and actually give my family a future (while actually contributing more to the economy than draining from it), I'd certainly do it, anyone would.

I forget who it was, but I was reading someone who compared the immigration debate to a bunch of kids arguing over who could go in their sandbox.
