  1. Jay's new album is coming out in September and sounds like it will be very good. Hear songs at myspace.com/jaybennett . I always liked his voice, and it has gotten better on those new songs.

  2. yep yep, really friggin' great too

makes me forget how bland Last DJ & Echo were

that statement couldn't be less true. both of those albums are great. Echo is so sad, and the lyrics are so meaningful and important, and probably hard for him to even sing. anybody who doesn't "get it"... i feel very sorry for.

  3. Like most people I'm sure, I got into Tim Easton from the album he made with Wilco. That one was very "produced", but still very good. The one after that however, "Break Your Mother's Heart", I don't like very much. Some of the songs on it are good but I find Jai Winding's organ annoying... am I alone on this one? His new one "Ammunition" is his very best... I love it even more after seeing him at Schuba's.

  4. i'm also figuring this out. it seems it is in drop d. i think the bend is right where you would normally play an open d chord... try picking the open d string and slightly bending the 3rd fret B string.

  5. the intro parts are pretty simple, but I have no idea about the chorus ("is there a need for me to hear every last detail"). It sounds like there are several guitars, some softer than others. I checked the earlier post, but it didn't seem to sound right. Anybody know?

  6. on the live album, there doesn't seem to be a set way in which the instruments are mixed throughout (every song has an individual mix). does anyone have a little trouble distinguishing Mike's keyboards from Pat's? at the concerts, Mike had a grand piano, a Hammond, a Wurlitzer, and probably a synth. Pat had the Korg Triton digital workstation, Korg organ, and the Nord synth (as well as a Wurlitzer and upright piano).

  7. Here's my first "official" tab, of the Far, Far Away solo from Being There. It's probably not 100% accurate, but I tried my best. Hopefully I will start tabbing other songs/solos on this board...
