It's been a while since we've played this game....it's fun, amusing and totally juvenile.

The rules are simple....take any word in the title or lyrics of a Wilco song and replace it with "pants" whenever it appears.

Example: Heavy Metal Pants, When You Wake Up Feeling Pants, etc.

This can be extended to pre-Wilco bands and Wilco side projects....Pecan Pants, Make it Through the Pants....and my personal favorite: Satan, Your Pants Must Come Down.

my favorite 'adult' cartoon, is, and probably always will be, Home Movies. even more so than south park.

family guy used to be a pretty good show. now it is simply a disconnect of obscure reference and intentionally offensive 'jokes'.

i stopped watching it a while ago and i can't believe they are doing a spinoff when they are already stretching for material.

someone referenced simon lebon the other day and it made me smile...all i could say was 'damn.'

i pressed mine bewteen the pages of my diary the day you went away to college and got all mixed up in pot brownies, beer bongs and 'cuddle parties'...a symbol of the death of innocence.

for the record, i haven't done any of those things.

i'm thinking of getting tickets for the pageant, but i'm not sure if my finals schedule will intrude on those plans.

and anyway, i liked them better when nobody knew who they were.

dad and i have been talking about this a lot.

it's possible that their time has just passed. it happens sometimes.

I remember when there were a couple of competing boards for alt.country bands, 2000 or 2001. There was one board I was scared to post on but they were a funny bunch and I remember some crossover in the early days of ViaChicago and this other board. Particularly when TweedyGurl first started posting. I remember the people on the other board thought she was someone having a laugh and she had to really convince everyone she was who she was.

those were the good ol' days!

yeah....they've been playing around a bit lately, since their reunion last year.

they recorded a new album, but haven't found anyone who was willing to pick it up.

it's sad really, because i dig the new tunes.
