  1. The Denver Post's Troy Renck writes that, barring a dramatic reversal, Matt Holliday will be traded this winter.

The Rockies have talked to the Rays about Holliday, with the names of Carl Crawford, Andy Sonnanstine and Edwin Jackson coming up as potential returns. It seems unlikely that the Rays would want to trade Crawford now, but they may not have the payroll flexibility to employ both. Other possible fits for Holliday include the Angels, Yankees, Mets, Phillies and Indians. The Rockies will focus on getting pitching in return.

And as far a Sabathia goes, I wouldn't pay him a dime until he wins a playoff game.

  2. :D.

I have to admit I did a double-take on that picture. Still not sure if it's a guy in drag or a woman with masculine features.

It is a bad piture - and now I am questioning my manhood. How did I not notice the drag-queen quality of her?

Does she look better here or am I still crazy?

  3. Yeah, Yeah, the severed foot mystery has officials stumped.

I don't know what is so mysterious - it seems to me there is a disturbed serial killer in BC that severs victims feet and throws them in the ocean. Sick.

  4. if you missed the black keys on letterman, HERE is the link where you can watch it. It's well worth your time and I was really impressed. a lot of bands don't sound so great on TV, but I think this song really captures their music well.

Damn!! I waited too long for tickets in Minneapolis and it was sold out before I could grab 'em. Now i am REALLY bummed. Blurg.

  5. I was a small town kid in northern Wisconsin 14 years ago and I hadn't heard of the majority of the bands you guys had on your tapes! My tape would have included top 40 bands like Winger, Warrant, Kix, White Lion, Def Leppard, Ratt, Roxette, Mr. Big, Ace of Base, US3, Bryan Adams, Richard Marx, R. Kelly, Lisa Loeb, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Wreckx-N-Effect, Snow, Soul Asylum, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Onyx, Ugly Kid Joe, and of course, Joey Lawrence. Yeah, I was that cool!1!!

Looking back, the best music I got into back then was probably Mr. Bungle and Liz Phair :pirate

  6. When I saw the full band a few years ago, they kept a cooler of beer onstage as a lure to get him out there.

I saw Dan last night at the kickoff of Destroyer's new tour. Before the show started he called for the merch dude to bring up a load of the cheapest beer the bar had :lol Destroyer sounded great - big range of tunes from all his albums.
