My friends and I have been to a strip club called Magic Gardens in Portland's Chinatown a couple of times. It was boring. Since that time, the club has burned to the ground. Coincedence??

We also almost went to a male strip club called Silverado in Portland's infinitesimal gay district, but I think one of us was short on cash or something.

I just spent the morning hanging out with the wife of Sam Beam from Iron & Wine - she's a midwife here. I decided not to tell her that many of my friends have crushes on Sam and his beard.

Seriously, what could be worse than waking from a sound sleep to your baby girl screaming that something is "cutting" her under her shirt, ripping her shirt off, and finding the wasp that had stung her 15 times.
