Okay, here's the Tweedy show.
Thanks! You rock!

I made my list a while back, but the Drive-By Truckers' New Year's Eve show at Terminal 5 should be on there somewhere. Absolutely killer.

Yeah, I didn't understand that line either.
-
slapped my knee
Then I don't feel so bad for him after all.
I've seen plenty of good shows in the New York area, both Wilco and Jeff solo. One of my favorite shows was at The Chance in Poughkeepsie just after A Ghost is Born was released. It was a very small theater and the show was amazing.
That was such a great show (and the night AGIB clicked for me).
-
kinda yeah
but really, when that theater was designed was tarrytown populated by gnomes?
I guess my being short actually paid off at a concert for once.
-
I was kinda happy it ended early. The seats sucked and I got to bed at as somewhat reasonable time.
Get off my lawn!

Not much surprises me, but I was definitely shocked to hear Give Back the Key to My Heart. The whole setlist was amazing. And I'm still laughing about the segue story. And the "times are tough all over" line after someone said the show was the best Christmas present. There was so much hilarious banter at these shows.
a lady a couple rows in front of me was totally obnoxious and kept standing and cheering and clapping inappropriately, and was constantly trying to talk to jeff during the first 6 or so songs.
a guy behind her asked her to stop, and she apparently got upset and left.
thank goodness!
I was in the row behind her. That was ridiculous. At one point she flipped off the guy behind her, but it wasn't just a quick flash; she actually held her hand up for like half a minute. I felt kinda bad for the guy she was with. He was simultaneously trying to defend her while trying to get her to settle down.
the only 'flub' i noticed was during "Gun".
he messed up the 2nd or so verse, and gave a smile and kept singing.
I think there was another one, but I can't remember what it was (drove home to Delaware after the show, so my brain is fried).

The biggest complain I have was someone decided to change all the trash bags in the balcony during How to Fight Loneliness and I'll Fight. It took them about 5 minutes and a lot of rustling. People started yelling at the person to stop and I think Jeff figured people were yelling requests from the balcony.
I was in the balcony so I could obviously hear the rustling/commotion, but I didn't know that was what was going on. WTF?
...a lesser-known, unsuccessful TLC album from the late 1990's.
-
I don't think he played more than an hour and fifteen minutes including the encore.
When I bought tickets, I saw somewhere (can't remember where) that the show was going to be from 8 to 11. And when I was entering the venue tonight, I heard someone ask one of the employees what time the show would end, and he said 11. Wonder what the deal was. Either way, great show. And some priceless banter.

I work nights so it's pretty hard for me to go to more than two shows in a row. But in September I did five shows in four days. Four nights of Pavement plus a late Basia Bulat show. But it kind of seems like cheating to use the same band four times.
-
Got my tickets today! They look very... un-ticket-like. Just an observation; I'm just glad to finally have them.
-
Speaking of which. The Tarrytown show is now 13 days away and no mention from Front Gate about shipping the tickets yet! I hope they don't ship it this week with Thanksgiving and all as I will not be around to sign for the package! GRRR!
I can't believe these still haven't shipped. I'm guessing they won't go out today, so that means they'll be shipped Monday at the earliest. And considering it took five days door-to-door to get my D.C. tickets, this makes me super nervous.

Great show in Philly last night. Wish I'd gone to more than one show on the tour.
-
Also - I hope it's not a GA show.
That's the only ticket choice I had for the presale, so it looks like it is.
-
Wilco's site doesn't list any on-sale information. (I feel slightly crazy now. Where did I get the 3rd from?)
-
Does anyone know when the D.C. presale is? I thought I saw Nov. 3, but now I can't find that anywhere.
-
(Portland, Maine August 2004 State Theater)
Cerberus Shoal opened. I don't know why I remember that. (Maybe because they were so terrible?)
-
How about Lincoln Theater in Washington DC Tues Dec 7? So says High Road Touring.
Excellent! So does that pretty much mean there won't be a second Bowery show added for Sunday, as some people speculated (and I assumed would happen)? (Can't see him doing five days in a row.)
-
Why do they insist on making those damn recaptcha things so hard to read
That is so annoying.

This comic reminded me of this thread..

I can't at all explain why, but this makes me want to listen to Ryan Adams' Jacksonville City Nights.
