so i guess i'll throw in yet again my love for this album... i played the cyhsy debut album for my nieces the other day (ages 2 and 3 1/2) and they loved it. when the 3 year old asked me what it was i said "clap your hands say yeah". she promptly clapped her hands 4 times and said "yeah". too cute. anyhoo, (though i'm a total fangirl) i think the sophomore album is brilliant. i've been denying myself listening to it lately just so i don't suffer from cyhsy burnout...

i've got a dilemma for next tuesday... glen phillips and the broken west are both playing small clubs in denver. i haven't seen glen for years and would love to go to that one. however, i've really been digging the new broken west album. another factor is that the broken west will be back in denver in april with the long winters. incidentally, grizzly bear is playing denver on tuesday too... but i think they're coming in at #3... advice? opinions?

their radio hit "boston" is kind of a guilty pleasure... the rest of the album is pretty much shit though.

ah, it was such a fun show! i know i need to get to sleep, but i'd rather be listening to music... good news is that they filled the theater pretty sufficiently, so hopefully they'll come back to denver again!!! ok, razzle dazzle rose is on, so after this i'm done.

after some shows i just have a hard time getting to sleep. most fun was that my friends annie and lloyd were at the show. we had a good time when they played lloyd i'm ready to be heartbroken... i shall have to check out this monkey swallows the universe....
