I am trying really hard to NOT get my hopes up too too high. I so don't want to be disappointed by this record...

Eels - Live At Town Hall
NP for me:

Saw Chris & his band last night. Man, they tore that shit up.

I love my iPod and have no idea how I ever lived without it. It's great at work because I'm moving around from room to room a lot. I also love it for weekend trips to the mountains, I don't have to limit myself to a discman and the 32 cds that fit in the wallet...
-
and still.....
jesus christ i fucking love e. i'm pretty sure that right now, most of my desert island discs would be eels shit.
-
It's a good kick to have. I know top men who would pay big money to be on that sort of kick. Top men.
well, they'd be happy to know i'm still going...

mmm... Yonder
Still love Nickel Creek though.

whoa... me too.

besides Penny On A Train Track, which i absolutely love, i've only listened once
so we'll see
but i can already say it's better than the last one, because i made it through without cringing
It's no lyrical masterpiece, to be sure. But it is poppy and fun, which is probably why I'm enjoying it so much. Honestly, I can see it growing stale rather quickly, but for now... thumbs up.
EDIT: Penny On A Train Track is easily my favorite track on the album as well.

oh god the last record was the biggest piece of shit, sorry dude. while his lyrics have always been immature, those were the WORST... Hospital Bed? My Apartment???
I think I listened to the last album all the way through MAYBE twice... so bad. I really really dig the new one though. Guess I'm in the minority...

This is probably a good move, but it is sad nonetheless. Feels like the end of an era - the first time I saw Nickel Creek was over 7 years ago...
I'm seeing Chris Thile with his band on Thursday, and will definitely check out the NC kids as much as I can in the next year!!

I think I may come to appreciate this thread... I've never been a big hip hop fan, but after all the talk about the new OutKast in these parts I checked it out - and really enjoyed it. So I'm looking for good hip hop albums to check out.

I love e...

And now the new Ben Kweller, again...

Just finished:
Now playing:

Awwww, yeah.

I upload in FLAC only because Its nicer for my ratio to upload a bigger file. I pretty much only download higher bitrate MP3's.
In other words, I'm selfish.
That's me too. If I'm downloading an album I prefer MP3 because my ratio doesn't take such a big hit, and the thing's going straight to iPod anyway...
Unfortunately I've been having unexplained intermittent problems with my BT so I only upload when things are running smoothly... which has been a while...
Really I mostly upload FLAC because that's what I'm comfortable with. I also would like to say that I had a nice oink ratio until someone uploaded a Tom Waits discography. The bastard...

NP: the new Ben Kweller
I'm on my second listen and all signs point to my fucking LOVING this album!!
I'm a huge fan of Sha Sha but was a bit disappointed in On My Way. This one blows them both completely out of the water. Can't wait to see BK in Denver in October...

Agree. It took me a while to get into Colin's voice. Picaresque was the first Decemberists album that I got into. Something about that one just clicked, but now I pretty much love the whole Decemberists catalogue. Love the crane wife.
